Got the same email.

I wonder if they are trying to reassure guys that are thinking of jumping out of the water...

Hey anybody that was at the WAI conference last year, do you remember the magic number for recency of experience in the past 12 months? I remember AK gave a number but can't remember what it was. Got a buddy who thinks it is 100-200 of complex or maybe even turbine time in the past 12, but he can't remember for sure either.

I got the same e-mail, and my AirlineApps account is inactive (my contact info has remained the same). So, as long as your contact info hasn't changed, there is no need to pay for another year. The data remains in your inactive file and Delta can see it.

If your contact info HAS changed, then you need to update it on AirlineApps, which requires an active account.

Didn't go to the WAI conference but I asked the exact same question to Capt Kraby and here's what he sent me:

"Delta does not have an absolute number regarding recency but, in general, we use 100 hours of turbine time in the past 12 months as a yardstick. However, since many military pilots, especially those approaching retirement, are not in flying billets we take a very lenient approach towards this recency requirement IF the military pilot has previously logged a sufficient number of flight hours. However, if this lack of recency extends beyond 2-3 years then we suggest that the pilot regain his or her recency either in another military flying billet or with a regional airline prior to being considered by Delta.

Best regards,

Arnie"

Cheers!

Got the same e-mail. Danged nice to have SOMETHING from them! My guess is yes to the 'jumping ship' fears.

My only question is, when they say we will all be "receiving a training class assignment not later than April 2016" does that mean we'll have something scheduled by then or be in an indoc class by then?

If I had to guess, I bet it's the first possibility.

Thoughts?

Twister, my thoughts exactly. After re-reading it, I think they mean a class date for a class that starts before the end of April. -IF- that is the case, I wonder how far down the CJO list the email went.

I'm a 30 Jul CJO: let's hear who got the email with later dates...

Sure was nice to get some official comm.

Well, I'm a 29 Sep CJO. Anyone later than that get this Delta e-mail?
