I would say that it depends. If it is a 12 month expiration then absolutely get it done before hand. If it is a 6 month expiration because they are over 40 then I would wait as narrow body FO's only need a class 1 once a year regardless of age. I had my 6 month renewal scheduled for the week after Indoc and was able to cancel it as a result.

In badgerned's latest post he said that the 3 Sep and 23 Sep CJOs are next up for invites. But his spreadsheet shows CJOs on 26 Aug, 27 Aug, 1 Sep and 2 Sep CJOs.

Am I missing something???

I'm pretty sure when he says they are on deck, he means they are the last interview dates that should be included in the next round of invites. So in theory, the folks from all the dates you mention should be up for the next class.

$280 or so adds 10% to indoc paycheck. I agree with falcon20 on the timing. Valid point if expiring that month and timing is tight then get'r done.

Has anyone deferred a training class? What does Delta say and do they give you a specific class date following or do they just recontact you later? I would appreciate any info. Thanks!

Yes. I deferred. Pilot Selection will probably email with an invite for class according to your CJO. I had a later date on Airline Apps and received an invitation before my availability. Check the box "accepting" the training, then explain what training conflicts you will have in the first 90 days. They should tell you what class the will invite you to next.

Any 26 Aug peeps on this forum? Any known "other opps" takers?

I am curious about how the commuter policy works on reserve. On long call, you have 12 hours notification. Can I sit at home and as long as there are two flights prior to the show time- I am good?
