CF is one month senior so BD gets to be #2 for several years and #1 for one month.

Unless...there's an unfortunate accident.

If I were CF, I'd sleep with one eye open, and NEVER go down an escalator!

I learned to duck and sidestep a hip check early in life, playing hockey with my older brother and his much bigger friends.

You never turned your back on those guys or you'd be dead meat!

Yeah, that was great. I always liked Lenno, but I figured it was because I grew up about 45 miles north of where he did, so I "got" his humor, I loved the Jay Walking stuff, and the headlines. I hope Jimmy can do him proud. He's pretty funny too, and I love his Neil Young and Bob Dylan impressions.

Is that the guy that is just now 50 and around 800 in seniority? Wow!

Thanks for the heads up on Leno, what a classy way to go out!

Yeah, what a jerk! I call him the Golden Child.

Good news is, he has a buddy at Airways who is younger by a few years and just bid onto the A330. I'm gonna goad him about it until he goes & gets hired at Airways so he can fly the 330 too - then I can be the Golden Child!

No, not really. Bohicaagain is the new runner-up .

I have a good friend from high school, I got him a job as my copilot flying the Turbo Commode when he was about 21.

2 years later he got hired at American at age 23, right at the front of their big hiring wave in 1984. He spent 4 months on the 727 panel, 4 years in the right seat, and at age 27 checked out as a 727 Capt. He's still there, flying 777 Capt., he's about 52 and his number is less than 300.

The kicker?

A former student of his got hired at AA a few classes ahead of him, who is younger than him!

Oh, and he still has a funded retirement.

I'd rather be lucky than good, he was both!
