How does it work? Say you get assigned MD-88, does that mean you are in that air frame for 2 years with no chance to bid off during that time?

You can only bid off if you are changing to a domicile that does not have your example MD-88. In more official language, if you must change airplanes to change domicile. However, once you bid the, say 737 to SLC, you can still AE back to Atlanta or NYC. There is no prohibition on that...

So guys that start class before 5/2/17 will still be under the one year seatlock?

The way I read it is they have until then to implement. They can implement it now or any time before then....but I've been known to be wrong before.

Yep, good catch. I had to go back reread it. Here's the exact text before the implementation chart.

"The table below outlines the remaining provisions of C2015 that are not in effect as of December 1, 2016 and the dates by which they will become effective."
