Excellent reminder. Dont remind the kool aid drinkers. They dont want to be confrontational. They dont want to rock the boat. They would rather stick their head in the sand and accept a measly 8% raise as the company slowly but surely degrades our work-rules and QOL.

I will never understand.

Bender....using your definition...couldn't it then be accurately stated we (all of us) have been on a B-scale since about Ohhh....2004/5-ish? :)

Well the conversation on the MSP crew bus makes me believe this TA will pass. There was a Capt saying he is a for sure yes vote. He will only be around for maybe one more TA and doesn’t care for some of the QOL givebacks but likes the pay raise and will not be around long enough to worry about the bad QOL.
The FO he was talking about was on the fence leaning yes. He talked about sick leave verification and is not worried because he said, “I will never have to worry about it”.
All I wanted to say was how well did selling scope go? Payrates are the easiest thing to go after.

That FO sounds like a smart cat. Did he also say the FO stuff won't affect him?

hes probably dreaming about sewing on that 4th stripe and commanding a shiny new embraer. Too amazing of a deal to pass up, why fly widebody when you can take one of these babies into Akron, Flint, and other exotic destinations?

Not everybody wants to fly international, stud.

haha fair enough just interjecting some humor. And not everybody looks at just pay rates (which are not that impressive anyway). Sadly it still appears as though pay rates, as unimpressive as they are, are going to push this TA through.

I think the payrates would have been OK had the profit sharing not been included. Not stellar, but I could have lived with them.

agreed. and if they at least would have thrown us some kind of bone QOL-wise. at least they could have made IVD in addition to our existing vacation (I think we should have all gotten at least an extra week, and the years of service to accrue vacation should have gone down a year or 2), not touched sick leave and instead gone after the 50 or 60 supposed abusers, and found a more common sense solution for LCA bidding that doesn't snowball to every FO, we would have a fair deal.

We didn't get min calendar day, which admittedly was going to be tough to get.

The value of vacation and training days is still too low, and it should be all credit. If they wanted to split the pay/credit then pay it higher.

JV language is still a major concession. Im still not sure how we allowed that to happen with absolutely no gain on our side. e190s don't count haha.

The jury is still out. This will be very close. C2012 was about 60-40% and I don't know any No voters on C2012 that are voting yes on this - have not met a single person who is switching in this direction. Granted, I am sure some are out there.

On the other hand I know of plenty who are switching from Yes to No, including myself. 3 guys in a crew van is anecdotal, just like the DPA exit poll does not mean much.

It will be very, very close either way.
