Nice deflection. You tried to use a lack of voting capability as the reason you didn't want profit sharing or the JV grievance to go to an LOA. It was a cheap and transparent excuse. Those items could absolutely be done separately via separate LOA's and submitted for membership ratification (Memory Rat). You knew that, but you used the excuse anyway.

Section 6 is a big event. LOA's either are - or aren't. I haven't voted on a lot of LOA's. Neither have you.

ALPA rules require them to send Section 6 contracts out to us to be ratified. I don't think LOA's have that requirement. I think pilots tend to be more engaged in Section 6 than in LOA negotiations.

It's amazing how much more engaged the pilots would be on LOAs if the MEC communicated about them.

How many LOAs have we been handed that we didn't even know were being negotiated.

Your whole premise that we need to roll everything together because the line pilot will otherwise not be "engaged" in the other issues is the pinnacle of arrogance. It's repugnant.

What do you have to gain by selling us out?

The concessionary rhetoric from the usual suspects here and on the chitchat forum is eerily reminiscent of C12.

I still don't think we are going to get a quick contract as I have posted in the past. It is however looking more possible. Here is a prediction. When the contract comes out you will declare it woefully inadequate and start your usual name calling campaign ect.
The rest of your fellow pilots will evaluate the contract, read it carefully, attend road shows and make intelligent well thought out choices when voting. It will pass and you will up your name calling for those who voted yes.

I'm all-in to maximize our money and time off. That's my agenda. What's yours?

Will this "quick contract" have elements in it which goes directly against the members desires via the contract surveys. I understand we are strongly in favor of not touching PS and leaving sick leave alone. Will we cave on these areas to get a deal?

What about the "pay banding" issue? Is that nugget already flushed down the toilet or will the junior be sold down the river yet again?

It would depend on the total package. No matter what it will go to the membership for a vote. If it does not meet your expectations vote no.
