That's not why people think you're an appeaser Karnak. They think you're an appeaser because of your rock solid backing for a no-risk approach to contractual gains.

Everyone accepts that Karnak. What we don't accept are people like you who are clearly here on behalf of management/DALPA, yet you try to portray yourself as a "line pilot like the rest of us." In fact, you're silent on all other subjects here until the topic of contractual gains comes up. Then you're here front and center warning us of the obstacles and the dangers of asking for too much. I'm just trying to interject some realism. Restoration won't happen because your employer will never give it to you. I do want it but I know it'll never happen. Sorry. Reality sucks.

Knowing that your employer won't give you a raise that would be 50% more than what its competitors pays their pilots leads to the next logical step: what tactic do I use to get the most I can?

Your tactics, asking for unrealistic raises, in my opinion, will get me less money. I'm just stating what the better, realistic, tactic is to gain the largest pay raise I possibly can.

I'm curious, what evidence pdo you have that asking for "an unrealistic raise" will ultimately result in "less"? I'm interested in real life data, because this really seems like conjecture and emotional opinion, not fact based cause and effect.
