Evidently at the previous MEC meeting he would not talk to the MSP Capt rep and was asking the ATL reps for "direction"

Before anyone goes off on me I have been and continue to support ALPA. I think we can still make a difference and I will be at the MSP LEC meeting on June 1. However if these concessions are true and we are sent a concessionary TA I will vote NO. If the TA fails memrat I will be willing to work to recall any rep in my LEC who votes for the concessions. If we reach a TA and it passes well than the majority will have spoken.
These are unprecedented times and we all need to be involved.
Recall a rep. Great. That's like putting a band aid on a stage four cancer patient.

If what you wrote above happens you should head over to kinkos and make 1000 DPA cards to pass out. The difference between your idea and mine is: mine might actually change something.

Unfortunately DPA is not a viable option IMO. They have as many if not more issues than ALPA. Also I believe we need the ALPA voice on Capitol Hill.

Honestly, I could careless at this point. If ALPA is so concerned about the voices of the pilots they represent, then they should start listening to them.

I've written off DPA in the past, but if this TA sinks my card goes out the next day. I believe many share this sentiment.

I agree. I have told my reps this exact same thing, 8 of them get it.i think ALPA is the better alternative, but if they dig there own grave with a crappy TA then it may be the end.

If you find out that he wasn't a rep during C2012 can we then make some credibility judgments on Carl?

Yes, that's why I asked. My experience has been that he has data to back up his claims, but clearly, someone is wrong on this one

Donatelli promised "historic."

Anything less in this environment is proof that constructive engagement is a one-way street and does not help the Delta line pilot.

I just cannot understand why the organization we finance to secure our bread and butter is so damn bent on solving the company's problems before solving our problems.

I just don't get it.

No. That does not help the company at all. They are talking about not awarding trips with LCA to any first officer this there is no one to displace. Called with-holding trips and it is extremely difficult to monitor.

Really important point there Scoop, and it's the hallmark of Ford & Harrison. They don't just push for concessions blindly. They push for strategic concessions. Specifically, concessions that divide the pilot group. B scales are an example but so is selling out our bottom half by giving away low end scope and this new bottom half sellout with F/O's bidding with LCA's.

Ford & Harrison operatives have an extremely low opinion of airline pilots. They view us as utterly self-interested and willing to make a gain on the back of a brother pilot. When we find a way to justify accepting these kind of strategic divisive concessions, we prove them right. Think really damn hard about the concessions you accept.
