Details on Delta TA
#4651
If the vote has turned to 11-8 in favor of these concessions then it means the MSP FO rep has gone to the majority. I was told by a MEC insider that the swing votes were ATL FO rep DN, the ATL training rep, one other I have forgotten and that the MSP FO rep was a possibility. Evidently at the previous MEC meeting he would not talk to the MSP Capt rep and was asking the ATL reps for "direction"
Before anyone goes off on me I have been and continue to support ALPA. I think we can still make a difference and I will be at the MSP LEC meeting on June 1. However if these concessions are true and we are sent a concessionary TA I will vote NO. If the TA fails memrat I will be willing to work to recall any rep in my LEC who votes for the concessions. If we reach a TA and it passes well than the majority will have spoken.
These are unprecedented times and we all need to be involved.

If what you wrote above happens you should head over to kinkos and make 1000 DPA cards to pass out. The difference between your idea and mine is: mine might actually change something.

Unfortunately DPA is not a viable option IMO. They have as many if not more issues than ALPA. Also I believe we need the ALPA voice on Capitol Hill.

I've written off DPA in the past, but if this TA sinks my card goes out the next day. I believe many share this sentiment.

Honestly, I could careless at this point. If ALPA is so concerned about the voices of the pilots they represent, then they should start listening to them.

Donatelli promised "historic."
Anything less in this environment is proof that constructive engagement is a one-way street and does not help the Delta line pilot.
I just cannot understand why the organization we finance to secure our bread and butter is so damn bent on solving the company's problems before solving our problems.
I just don't get it.

No. That does not help the company at all. They are talking about not awarding trips with LCA to any first officer this there is no one to displace. Called with-holding trips and it is extremely difficult to monitor.

Ford & Harrison operatives have an extremely low opinion of airline pilots. They view us as utterly self-interested and willing to make a gain on the back of a brother pilot. When we find a way to justify accepting these kind of strategic divisive concessions, we prove them right. Think really damn hard about the concessions you accept.
