This is one of the silliest comments ever. Southwest last had a raise in 2011. Their contract was amendable right around the time ALPA negotiated the Delta contract in 2012. They could have gotten our 20% raise and now be negotiating again. They got 0% and are still negotiating. And you think that's better? 0 is better than 20? In what universe do you live.

Their union isn't panicking to meet the CEO's artificially condensed timeline in the best negotiating environment we may ever see.
I'm happy to wait RA out for the right deal.
Ah. SPC. A three letter combo we'll never see from "our" "union" as long as the current junta is in power.

Are you ready to wait 3 years like SWAPA? Time is money. How much are you willing to spend? When they finally get an agreement, back that money up to the amendable date and see how modest the raises could have been to replicate the same performance. Math is good in that way, it cuts through the BS and shows that maybe "stones" aren't as valuable as some folks on this board make them out to be. Maybe we can get a nuetral's opinion and ask American and US Airways pilots about "stones" and how time and money passed them by.

My LEC reps tell me that even revealing base-specific voting demographics could qualify as circumnavigation of anonymity.
To review this was my post to you....
Seeing as the voting process is anonymous, how are you able to ascertain that councils 1 & 20 had the highest numbers of yes voters amongst line pilots for c2012?
Just curious.
I didn't think DALPA broke down memrat vote demographics after a TA. If they do any idea where one would be able to find that information?

Any chance of an adult discussion or are you more interested in arguing and name calling?

That's pretty funny. Jumpseat on them and see how they feel. 3 years plus past amenable date and company wants a flattish contract. They're a great company with great people but SWAPA invented working with management (as some so often complain about here) and signed a 10 year contract once. 3 years past and they just formed a SPC. Yes a real "union" waits years for someone else to do the heavy lifting.
I agree with everything you said except the last sentance. I think you are pre-supposing DALPA did some heavy lifting.
Just an aside. I wrote a letter to a rep detailing some of the concessionary rumors and my stance on them...along with some items that I think should be included in "the worlds greatest airline contract."
His response: "I hear you."
Take it how you will.

Yes, I will wait years. I will keep my profit sharing untouched. If rumors are correct, that will be 5.75%, I will loose on this early deal. I will also receive approximately 3 % from the match of American and United rates (if you think management isn't giving raises next year to the rest of the employees your crazy). So the worst thing that I see, is I would loose 8% for the remainder of this year. I also keep my dignity and for once in my life tell management that I am better than their cheap bribes! Chin HI, I will still see raises without a deal.
