So once again all the rumors were nearly 100% accurate.

Scope section is absolutely crazy. We will see the JV partners grow while the Delta widebody fleet goes away. At least we will replace 747's and 767's with a new E-195 fleet. This is going to make the job losses of the last 15 years due to the DCI mess look small.

Wow 14% increase over almost 4 years. That's like 3% a year. Inflation is roughly 3%. Status quo at a time when Delta is making more profits
Than ever before? Mmmmm.

How would captains feel if the LCA bid before the rest of the captains and then those trips were removed.

First PBS runs the LCA bids.
Then runs the CP bids with LCA trips removed.
Then runs FO trips with LCA trips removed.

I get the company's point, especially in some super-short categories like NYC 73NB (which is the company's fault, by the way) where you see an F/O getting GS#7 after all his trips are bought due to LCA bidding.

However I was anticipating some sort of recovery obligation with iron-clad protections (only prior to GS, not WS or reserves, only within the original footprint, if the original had no redeyes, then the replacement could not either, etc).

But to just withhold trips from bidding to begin with? BS. I flew the 767 for 13+years and never once selected the "bid with LCA" option. I did, however frequently end up flying with LCAs on very nice trips. Would that option be taken away entirely?

Still need to get some perspective on a lots of details.
Whats worse is they are only holding back the trips that the top 25% of each category can still get the good deal, while everyone else suffers

The World's Best Airline Contract --> Historic --> On Time On Target --> Barely Good Enough if you're Extremely Shortsighted but Hey, Early!

How the hell does that happen?

We're 4000 to 5000 less pilots. Gee, where did they all go? That's like a little city disappearing over night.
not to mention that there is no promise that those will be "growth" jets. New doe not equal more. we get NEW 100 seat jets and park old MD88's... but they honored the agreement. Yes, I was the block hour ratio, but I don't think for a minute that means growth.

How is this industry leading pay rates?

Still below FDX at current contract. Will be 20% lower this Fall once they sign.

Vote NO!

There is a lot that I am not happy about. But this JV is vital to our scope.
Scope is a single issue vote. If Section 1 fails, don't bother to read the rest.
