Remember all LCA's aren't always doing OE.

More info to come from sources IF we get a TA.
I was just told we have well over 1000 LCAs bidding lines. The guy thought closer to 1300. It doesn't matter if they are doing OE or not! If 75% of the block hours bid by LCAs are not to be used for line construction for FOs, that is a huge loss!!

For a 1000 LCA lines, that's a loss of 750 FO lines!

What supporting data suggested this was even a remote possibility for our TA?

When we were sold the JV at it's inception the major point I remember was the EASK metric was good for DL pilots because of our smaller gauge WB fleet.

I'll get better info on this as soon as I have it.

It's not really bad.

I assure you o thought exactly what you did at first.

After reading comments about how our decrease in profit sharing would screw the rest of the employee groups, does this TA do that?

Oh, and without this TA, the company will be in violation of the Af/klm JV again next year. Even more leverage.

Could you imagine the uproar from WS when they find out that labor risk is on the table? And that ps isn't going down?

But I suspect you knew all that.
We need to file that grievance again now. They are in violation and they need to cease and desist.

It's OE. Not LCA as I understood it.

Again, there is more to follow. We will offer a full explanation as soon as we can.

Sorry not to have a full accounting for this yet. But we will get you the facts as soon as we can.

I haven't caught up yet, but about the switch from EASKs to Block hours is huge! I know Virgin wasn't included, but Virgin only needs 2 Pilots for flights up to 9 1/2 hours. That means for a similar flight they already fly 1/3 less than we do. Thier block hours are already lower than hours! If AF or KLM do the same we are going to get SLAUGHTERED with this new language.

It would only raise the 20% bar to 6bn dollars. For the 2016 FY.

What Delta does with other employee groups is the company's decision. It is neither the concern nor the responsibility of DALPA or its members what they do with employee compensation.

Screw is a relative term. The company is free to do whatever the want with the other groups' PS whether we get a new contract or not.

The thinking is they won't change the other PS plans unless we do because of the concern that it might spawn a few union drives elsewhere on the property.

My personal opinion on that is who cares? They have been riding our coat tails wrt PS this whole time. If they want to negotiate their own PS independent of ours, then let them. It's not our concern.

We would not be screwing them anymore than we were responsible for their PS to begin with.

It is 75% of projected OE block time, not 75% of the hours held by LCAs. It is a major loss for us. Let's be correct in our analysis and maintain credibility for why we are voting "NO"
