Thanks. 6.7B yields a 5.32 loss, so at least that's closer to 5.47.
At least that's close enough to convince me to let it go 😀

I just received a call from xxxxx ... Senior ALPA Attny ... Legal Department

He told me he was calling in reference to post I put out on June 4th that said :Bohica .. Here are the numbers 8-6-3-3 ..includes PS"

I said ok ... What can I do for you?

He said ... Tell me who gave you that info.

I said ... Lets start over and let me take notes ... which I did.

I asked ... How did you get my info ... He said "passed on to him by MEC ...

I said who passed it on specifically ... He said a Rep.

I said what is his name ... He said I won't tell you that

I said which Rep ... He wouldn't tell me

So I thanked him for calling and hung up.

Can you believe this crap ... From the union I pay dues to ... And is suppose to represent me.

Unbelievable!!

Maybe if they spent half as much effort getting us a good contract as they do harrasing dues paying members .... WOW ...

What is also disturbing is that sick leave will have a look back to 2012 if this TA passes. That will cover 2 1/2 years of our current contract. Talk about negative retro.

Is this true? How in the world would someone get a doctors not for something from 3 years ago? Where did you read this?

The yes voters on the mec are getting desperate....sounds like their trying to get rid of the no voters on the mec by getting them kicked out.

Just emailed all the reps from all councils. Please do the same if you want to be heard!!!

Denny

This is the part where the tail wags the dog. How is the membership supposed to 'provide input' to the MEC on how they should vote, if the membership hasn't even been educated on all the hidden gems in the T/A?

I'm sure most of us have already contacted our LEC Reps. in the past 24 hours, since some of the T/A 'highlights' were released yesterday. And I'm also sure there was a lot more "VOTE NO" input than "VOTE YES" input.

Here's a real question:

If the LEC Reps are getting overwhelming "Vote NO" input, if they truly are our "Representatives", how should they vote?

What we've always seen here at DL South in past contracts (since we got Membership Ratification in 1996) was, our Reps have ALWAYS voted YES, even for the POS that was C1996, just so they could absolve themselves of any final responsibility. "Give it to the Membership, let them decide." has been the theory/excuse to pass a POS on to the Members.

At that point, it becomes circular logic, and it passes. What I hear from the line pilots is, "Well, it MUST be OK, why else would the MEC vote Yes for it?"

And the MEC will say, "Well, it must have been OK, 62% of the line pilots voted for it"

When in fact, it's just another low ball turd that nobody wants to hold on to, so they keep passing it around, trying to keep the smell off of themselves.

Would you could you with Vaseline?
Or with a beer?
Plus Dramamine?

I would not could not with Vaseline.
Nor with a beer.
And Dramamine.
I do not like concessions, Mike, you see.
Go back to the table.
Until then, leave me be.

That's pretty impressive. Some people are really creative.

Granted, that 250 could be anyone senior in category each month. But of our pilot group that is the number effected each month.

That's a single layered perspective- the fact is, when it comes to bidding that one man's garbage is another man's treasure.

In doing so, by pulling trips out of the pot, you're actually affecting 100% of the FOs, not just the ones that target LCA trips.

You would have to get he note (or release your records, not sure which) next time you called in sick if it put you in the lookback range

That's the Vocal minority fallacy though. Happy and content people don't write in at all. You have take stock of those who do call in and consider the ratio of the silent voices and the voices of whatever was in the pilot survey (which is statistically way more accurate than the the consensus on APC).

It's the same way you vote for senators, and other political figures. You vote for the person to make judgement calls, you don't vote for how they vote. I'm not saying that's the best way to go about it, but that's how it's done.
