You are correct. Let's say pilot 1 wants trip A. Trip A does not get awarded because it is with a LCA. Pilot 1 now has to get trip B. Pilot 2 wanted trip B and would have received it under the old contract but must now settle for trip C. It continues down the line so it affects all pilots in a category.

AND...

It's going to mean less lines, because 75% of the LCA trips won't be awarded as F/O lines, which means the guys who are just above the reserve point are going back onto reserve, which will lead to more pilots being on reserve, which means FEWER Green Slips for all the F/O's.

So, this kills 3 birds with one stone! (did Chuck Norris throw it?)

Less Manning, Less Pay, and Less 'good trips' gone for all but the top 25% F/O's!

No, wait, Chuck Norris killed two stones with one bird! :D

From the chitchat forum. But someone here said it's not true. Hard to pin it down but I'm getting a bad vibe in some of the finer details.

Where is the chitchat forum? Where can we find more information online? Pretty low of them to remove facebook posts!

And just in general too. DALPA Facebook posts deleted and blocked. Facebook rating deleted. Members receiving phone calls from ALPA attorneys. And some of the latter things I mentioned have nothing to do with the TA facts.

Disturbing.

Supposedly it came out during the sick leave Q&A. Conveniently left off the bullet points...
Third party verification... I can't wait to find out how that's set up. You can bet it's whatever the company wants. It'll be like dealing with Comcast, UHC, and the IRS every time you call in sick. And YOU get to pay for the doctors visit! That is, if you like your job. Guilty until proven innocent! Makes life a lot easier for DALPa though. "It's in the contract, sorry, but there's nothing we can do". Maybe they can just set up a recording for when you call...

Seems this could be yet another potential lawsuit (ALPA seems to be good at attracting these). If this language remains in the TA, effectively stripping pilots not in agreement to surrendering their HIPPA rights, regardless of a popular vote, this could lead to legal action.

Keeping medical information private (it has certificate implications) is a very high priority for most pilots. Not to mention the diminished safety (pilot pushing) of threatening/harassing pilots to fly "or else we will conduct our own audit/interpretation of what your medical records say". Further, there is deeply personal and potentially embarrassing info wrapped into your medical records. Do you want people rifling around there that don't belong? It's really insane this is being proposed and signed off by those who are supposed to represent and protect your rights. So many things wrong with this TA.

So what's your point? Input from a ****ed off constituent is still input. As Timbo said, it's a big leap to think just because someone doesn't contact their Rep means they support the TA...

Answer this. Did the NC achieve the same band for the A330 at Delta as AMR did for the A330 they have?

***AMR 777/a330/767-4- all in the same band.***

I thought pay banding was bad. I thought pay banding cost jobs.

I think in the long run, it does cost jobs because eventually there will be less training. That being said, there is always a trade off........Uhhhhh.........what do they call it.............negotiation!:)

Sorry man. Just saw this regardless of what happens with this TA. PS for 2015 (payable in 2016) is safe. The calculation starting in 2016 is where we loose up to 117 million in PS from current formula vs TA language. Sorry I should have been less vague. Hopefully I did a better job this time

MOTOJOE 06-10-2015 12:58 PM

How in the HE double tooth picks does any pilot at delta thinks there is anything good in this TA. The whole thing stinks. Sick time verification via the brute squad! PS deduction funding your pay raise. Etc. oh I forgot the nickel more per diem. Yippee!
