Details on Delta TA

It's funny that DPA said the opposite. The more you fragment and divide the group the less money you can demand in negotiations. For that reason they pledged to end all efforts almost a year before we would exchange openers for contract 2012. They would not go back on their word would they?

If they stop kicking us in the scrote...at this point it doesn't matter.
This TA actually makes money for the company, shrinks international even further, abrogates seniority, grows out sourced top and bottom scope, guts profit sharing further, etc...At a time of record profits AND leverage for us.
DALPA doesn't represent us. This should never have been ta'd. You don't have Stockholm syndrome, you have battered wife syndrome.

Just a poolie here and Delta is and will probably continue to be my first choice (I have another Legacy offer) but the medical part scares me the most about this TA. I dont fully understand the details about sick leave since I don't have access to the info but if the company has access to your medical details via a "third party," think of the possibilities. Not good. Not got good at all. For the military folks who've ever sat around waiting for a waiver to get approved by someone who doesn't know you from Adam, you know what I'm talking about.

Just like 2012, only with worse sick leave.

What nit wit thought this was a good idea in times of $6Billon in profits and $6Billion returned to the Shareholders, i.e. Richard and Ed?

As I've been saying for months, Richard will be able to tell Wall Street he just signed another Cost Neutral contract, all increased costs will be offset by a restructured profit sharing plan and an upgaged fleet, yada, yada, yada.

Unfortunately, I only have 1 no vote to cast.
If someone comes up with a con paper, I will happily forward it to every 777 guy in my contact list.

Our sick leave opener was no changes. What did you get in exchange for this particular concession? .05 increase in per diem, that'll buy you one beer on a 4 day trip.
A few days before the TA was out, our reps said pay rates weren't even discussed. I assume they pounded out pay rates in a day, how?
