The JV scope concession is in there to make crews that fly Europe angry with everyone else as they watch their flying go to smaller and lower paying gauge.

It's a three way win to get three different groups angry with one another. Classic industrial psychological operations.

I agree with the 190-95 rates being way to low, No one will choose to fly this airplane even as a captain. Most of us would much rather fly the 330 or 76.

The FO OE hold back is a no for me. Generally speaking 10% of our pilots will be doing OE to keep this airline staffed. They will be pulling 7.5% of the trips. We will all be losing 7.5% in line quality that we could hold.

Captains who don't think this affects them or is no big deal please think of it this way if they held the top trips from you as well how would you vote. Please support your FO's. It is not just the people at the top that this affects it drives all the way down the list putting additional line holders on reserve.

Default It is not about pay!

As a yes C2012 vote, I can say without question that this is a solid no vote on C2015.

The process, the language, the concessions masked as good for us is pathetic. Also, the impact a yes vote will have going forward to our fellow employees, industry peers and our families in the long run can not be ignored by short term gains in pay. TVM is very true and a negative of voting no. The details going forward are even more so burdensome and worth taking a stand. I respect any pilots vote it is part of a process I dont want changed, yet I just can not see any benefits to signing now nor can I phathom how this will be presented in any meaningful, positive format.

I am worried though, apathy in the ranks is worrisome. Lets not let it happen, just vote no! I can not believe we are looking at this! If all language were left alone and it was just pay I would say why not?
This is bad business for us plain and simple.

I know you were all anxiously awaiting my thoughts and point of view! Well, I have upped my campaign! Now UP YOURS!

As I posted 10% is a huge exaggeration of pilots doing OE. We only carry 10% LCA's. They have to do line checks, theatre quals, special flts as well as OE. They are also given trips with no LCA duties.

It also seems that a majority of OE's are assigned after PBS lines awarded. What percentage of TOTAL LCA trips will be held back.
10% of ??

For those leaning or decided "yes" because of the "what is our plan B?" scare tactic, ask yourself what is the company's plan B? They pushed for this early deal for a reason. When we vote this down, the company will still want a done deal. And done soon. Let us do what the NC and MEC failed to do and get back to the negotiating table. Did we leave money on the table? IDK, but we don't want to take a bite of this shiite sandwich.
Hold the Line.

ALPA sent out a reminder email to not let contract discussion/debate become an unnecessary distraction during flight ops. This is certainly appropriate and commendable.

The problem is, if the TA is so questionable as to provide the opportunity for distraction due to discussion/argument, doesn't that speak volumes as to the quality of the deal? If it is so middling that the discussion of it could be dangerously distracting, what is that telling us?

It's 2015, we should be getting a TA that leads to celebration over drinks at the hotel, not one that leads to consternation in the cockpit.

Would you vote for this if the Captains were losing the trips due to IOE? And my experience with contract language is the absolute worst case scenario is exactly what to expect. It can even be worse....C2012, if you remember, the company abused the verification requirement and hassled sick calls right out of the gate. It took a lot of complaining from the line to get our association to step up and enforce the contract language.

If they did this to captains this place would be lit on fire.

Captain Jerry Fielding. No voter on this alone.

Show me the numbers in the 320 88 and 717. I just looked at Jan - May on the 88 in NYC. Of the 5 LCA schedules I looked at 73% of their trips they flew in a 5 month period had OE assigned.
