That's true.

Makes me want to ask a question, is this the last time we are going to increase how many 76 seaters can be outsourced?

Just to get it on record.

There is no upper limit on the number of concessions our union can buy with 8%! in just 12 short years, Delta will have by far the highest pay rate of any airline, because the outsourced them all!

one of the worst things about this contract is it only last three years. I am in no mood to give more of our contract away in 2 yrs 6 months...

I was really hoping we would get a 5:15 calendar day pay for all those 30 day layover 3 days where you fly 8 hrs day one and 7:45 on day 3..that's what the previous poster is talking about. then we'd be getting over 20 hours pay

If we had 4:45 min day you'd see 8 + 4:45 + 6 = 18:45
Or you would see new rotations built the month it goes in to effect that are 6 hours block, 4:45 block, 5 block for 15:45 pay. The rotations will change based on the rules in place at the time they are built. Remember the changes that happened when FAR 117 went into effect? I would expect any amount of daily guarantee to also have an impact.

I kind of like the trips with 7 hours block day 1, long layover on day 2 and 7 hours on day 3. They are especially nice when they are hometown layovers. A daily guarantee would make them all but disappear.

Great! Less work and same pay. Sounds good to me.

Actually I think the pay would be higher in this example. 6+5:15+5:15=16:30

At that point they would not build rotations like that. Rotations are built to the work rules. Trying to build work rules to the rotations is a exercise in futility.

In an upward pattern bargaining environment a shorter contract is better than longer. Standard contracts used to be four years. So only three years is a plus IMO.

Presumably we may have a chance to pattern after SWA and FDX and UPS if we turn this TA down. They make a big deal of these other airlines not having an agreement yet, but also don't mention that it is usually best to be last in line when negotiating raises. So it could actually behoove us to wait.

Unless you believe that there is little upside to waiting for the industry to top out before you set "industry leading" rates.

The no voters aren't voting no because of the money. The money is grossly inadequate, but the TVM thing can balance it out once you accept that the bankruptcy cuts were permanent. The company didn't borrow our money. We gave it to them or bought our jobs if you want to look at it that way. The pilots are voting no because of the sick leave, JV, and with-holding trips from first officers.
