If you were above a certain rank, you didn't go flying at night without a bright moon to guide you home. Only the junior flew in rough conditions.

The meatball was just a crutch for a poor deck-spotter

Not a lot of talk about the health care tax give back. The UAL guys published it in their examination of the TA. Apparently we pay more for health care so as to keep the company out of the Cadillac Tax zone. The company said we'll make it up to you in another part of the contract. There's where you're 8% comes from. These pay "raises" are totally self funded. Taking money from your savings account and putting it in your checking account is not a raise.

The "ball" is for babies.

Since health care premiums are not based on age, and don't account for one's earnings, pilots at lower income levels/categories get a raw deal with such a regressive system. I guess that would pair well with the LCA OE pulls that would affect FOs and junior captains? Maybe it's time to have more babies/dependants to get more bang for my elevated health care premium bucks?!

Just using your post because you mentioned virtual basing.

What happens when you have, say, 10 senior LCA's bid the 10 lines available at the virtual base and then all their trips get held out from the FO bid? (I'm not this smart, I heard it today.)

Oh, and back to discussing the TA.

Let's get parked at the NMB for a few years...

Not get harassed when calling in sick...

Not give up widebody jobs...No B-Scale for junior folks...

AND cash our Profit Sharing Checks...

While we say...

In other news:

The CFO just exercised 7000 stock options. I wonder if he thinks the stock is going lower for some reason. Hmmm.

No, Mrs. CFO just heard about Mrs. CEO's new condo in MIA. She wants a new beach house. Mr. CFO needs the cash.
