idk about this case.....but the handful of fo's i do know managing these numbers have to be senior enough to capture the lca co-bid........and then are like day traders.....attached at the hip to the icrew screen on a daily basis.

as Janice sang it....'you better get it while you can!.....'

I do not dispute that at all.

Exactly. I bid in the top 5% of my category and try this about every other month and even then I aim for around 120 hours but it is a lot of work.

If guys want to do this every month I say great for them. Even junior Pilots are now routinely getting 2 GS a month in a lot of categories.

Most importantly - my category is probably typical and has seen multiple OOBGS, GS with Conflict and assignments. If the company was manned properly FOs would not be able to credit 100+ hour months routinely - even with LCA bidding.

The 75 hour cap wasn't so bad after all.

I would go back to a 75 hour cap with a bow wave in a second. Think of how many more Captains that would instantly require.

If you're where you say you are then we're within 9 numbers of each other in category.

The wife beating comment is out of line. Show a little class.

I don't think he was being literal. I thought he was using it as an analogy or I would have deleted it.

Thanks Scoop. Probably borderline less-than-adequate, respectful verbiage, but was not meant in the strict literal sense.

Yes Leine, we were hired about the same time. If you're who I think you are, you were in the class ahead of me. Good day.

Fair enough. As one that voted for the TA, I have benefitted quite a bit from LCA drops over the past year. There were definitely good things about the TA and certainly plenty of bad. Point being either side could argue their case - I just don't see the need to take it to the mat just because someone may disagree with me. I've moved on and I'm hoping everyone else will do the same sooner or later.

Every time I poke my head into one of these threads I'm disappointed to see that the company has us fighting amongst ourselves. We are the ones that have to work together for the next several decades. Management teams will come and go. Let's not treat each other in a way we might regret later.
