Default Concessions Are Coming

Questions for your reps.

In light of the 8k revelations showing "at least 70% of free cash flow to the shareholders."

$3.15 Billion to $3.85 Billion ANNUALLY

Will you vote yes for a TA that includes concessions?

Concessions like:

Additional 76 seat jets to the DCI carriers?

Further degradation of the sick leave language?

Selling of vacation?

How many positions do the "ALPA expert attorneys" (the same ones who let us lose our pensions) tell you we will lose?

Do you realize this number is, at best, 25% of the real positions we will lose?

What other concessions or "trades" or "compromises" will you vote yes for?

Bastian is planning on returning "at least" $3.85 Billion to the shareholders. If this number were $100 Trillion would you still be making concessions?

What concessions has Bastian made since bankruptcy?

How much has Bastian's compensation increased since Chapter 11?

Does Bastian come to work, sit around all day and not get paid for that day?

Why do we still have bankruptcy medical deductibles?

Why haven't you shared the range in billions of the 70% of free cash flow?

Make the calls and make your voice heard.

Jerry

I do not believe we will get a contract with 0 gives to the company. The question is what do we get in return.

For example I believe you are in favor of pay banding. According to the former council 1 rep it will cost upwards of 800 jobs ( full pay banding 717 to 777 pay banded like UPS, straight FO and Capt pay rates). To me that is a concession, yet many saying "any concession Equals a no vote" are in favor of pay banding. So are they in favor of concessions?
So for me I will have to see what we get for these trades and make my vote from there.

I am opposed to pay banding until we reach 5:15 per day of Pay and credit vacation.

This would offset the job loss.

Since we only asked for 4:00 per day of vacation in 2018, I am opposed to pay Banding.

Since Bastian revealed that he is returning almost $4 Billion annually to the shareholders, I oppose and concession or change that would reduce positions, jobs, staffing.

According to Merriam-Webster.com the definition of a concession is: “Something done or agreed to usually grudgingly in order to reach an agreement or improve a situation.”

There you go.

Concessions are a winner.

That's why Bastian makes them when he negotiates his compensation.

I heard he gave up his bankruptcy proof pension.

Not.

Buck why so you think the Chairman's letter didn't include the fact that the pension expense will inflect to income in 2019?

Just nonsense the stupid line pilots can't comprehend?

Do you get an admin job if you help sell?

To you, that doesn't seem like a concession, but you need to look further down the road than the increased credit for vacation.

Wait until we merge with Alaska and our number two B-777/B-747 captain gets merged in right behind their number one B-737/A320 captain and their #1 pilot becomes #2 on our entire seniority list.

It better have massive pay increases, leave sick alone, and leave LCA bidding alone..I expect some very minor concessions and a lot of major improvements.

DCI is a failed model. They can't staff the ones they have. Throwaway item.

I disagree. Their model is fixable with new large jets which bring in the revenue to increase pay for pilots. Frontier, Allegiant, SkyWest and even Endeavor are doing fine for now.

Their model is mostly broken only if we hold the line. Let us give them Delta jobs.

Not a throwaway item; more valuable to us than the company.

We can agree to disagree. I'll bet it is a throwaway for management.

Edit: and I am not sure your point bringing up Frontier and Allegiant.
