I hope someone can answer this question, I’ve been assigned a mid Sept class and already completed Minneapolis in person documentation review, the question is, what should I expect next? Is there anything I need to do prior to class date? I have not received any PRIA forms to fill besides the ones I brought to Minneapolis. Thanks!

I absolutely agree on the 500hours a year part but my friend major is not the goal, the journey is the goal. If i can enjoy the 135 gig then i don’t mind spending 5-7years? Before switching to majors if i’ll even want to then that is. But if i suck it up at a place that i don’t enjoy then that’s not good. Hence trying get insight from people working here so i can see where i see myself. But hey i totally respect people who are aiming for whatever comes first their way especially after the covid turmoil.

Appreciate all the insight though

I managed to find them. They are DTW 200 trips, but they all end with a MSP-DTW deadhead. So they aren’t that bad if there are flights from MSP to your home airport to alternate home on.

No 5 day trips, actually interesting to hear you guys only have 4-5 day trips. With the positive space and longer trips, it seems well set up for commuters. If I lived 15 minutes away from the airport I’d be fairly upset being assigned 5 day trips.

Depends on your base and A/C, we have almost no locals, zero 2 days, and mostly crappy 4 days that start early and end late!

They don't work the greatest when you live in base.

You referenced these trips with regard to poor commutability, so why don’t they work if you live in base? Get in your car and go home just like you would a garbage 4 day with a late finish. I’m not saying we have great trips, we don’t. The reality is they generally have a lot of duty for little credit leading to few days off. However your specific examples of uncommutable 5 days aren’t the norm for 5 days, and they could even be commutable with an alternate deadhead.
