175s

My guess is no, or at least not right now. If I remember correctly, I seem to remember someone talking about the 175 doing some sort of testing in there a while back.

SkyWest flies the E175’s into Sun Valley (SUN) and Eagle (EGE). The issue with Aspen is the balked landing procedure (go-around below minimums). The E175 just doesn’t have same performance as the CRJ 700. Supposedly they’re considering 50 seat E175’s for Aspen exclusively. They will eventually need a replacement for the CRJ 700’s. I believe most of the 700 fleet is nearing 20 years.

The point I’m making is there’s zero competition, the customers base is filthy rich, and the only sacrifice to removing 20 seats is giving up more profits. There’s no questions about making money flying a 50 seat 175 to Aspen, zero.
As the guy mentioned who you responded to SkyWest doesn’t have an option when the RJ700’s are retired so a 50 seat 175 may be the ONLY option. They will absolutely make a shlt ton of $ flying 50 seat 175’s, just not as much as with the 700’s.

Correct you “don’t know” what you’re talking about, EVER. The Aspen market isn’t that exclusive? Serious question, do you even comprehend what the Aspen market is? It’s a market of billionaire residents and multimillionaire visitors. The cheapest option other than booking a ticket through the airlines is a $10,000 flight from Centennial Colorado in a clapped out King Air.
