This is about flight time for the purpose of part 117 (not block time for 117) but I agree, for purposes of logging flight time I'd say nothing changes.

"Flight time means:
(1) Pilot time that commences when an aircraft moves under its own power for the purpose of flight and ends when the aircraft comes to rest after landing; or"
((2) is about gliders)
So, strictly speaking, we should have been logging time from forward motion all along. But it's an industry-wide acknowledged wink and nod that everyone logs block time.
