I come on here to try and gather information because flight ops seems to be the most versed department when it comes to company news/issues... I don't try to spread rumor and create bs... Yesterday was 23 years at the company from express i to mesaba to pinnacle and now endeavor.. There have been a lot of ups and downs over that time and a lot of good people have left under bad circumstances...i take pride in putting you guys and girls in airworthy aircraft everyday...and what tech ops and edv have evolved into over the last 2 decades and want it to continue... With that.. Enjoy the holiday everyone

Personally I'd rather they find a way to get rid of that insane blast fence parking or better yet the entirety of LGA airport...
Yep, the FAR's require a certain amount of 50 seaters or less, in and out of LGA. However, Delta has anti-trust immunity to operate bigger aircraft on those slots. If they get rid of the 50 seaters, they have to also get rid of mainline planes out of there. When the 200's are timed out, Delta will have to buy a new 50 seater if the law doesn't change.

Think big picture, when the 200's we have now time out, there are what, 50 or more sitting in IGM that have time left on them?...

There is a 44 seat supersonic jet that will be available by that time, it would be a good gimmick for Delta to have a few for special customers.

In all fairness to APMech, up until about a week ago, he was correct about the ADS-B mod on the 200 fleet, wasn't he? Things change, and we flex. But even if we start modding the 200s, I don't see us doing all of them, personally. It's wasted money that can be better spent elsewhere, unlike the mortgage payments on all the 200s in the desert.

Default speculation

something to think about while you drink a cold one and grill something over the weekend.... at SkyWest Tech Ops the rumor (and I hate to go with that) is that they will be taking the 700s from EV and 9E will be taking the 900s... just from a training point of view it makes sense... additionally they already have parts and tooling for 7s and 9E for the 9s... more water cooler talk.. but that is the latest

Nope, joint venture codeshare. One of Delta's partners has an intent to purchase already. The question is whether Delta wants some to paint its name on the side.

Nothing quite as cool as a supersonic flight capped at 1500 miles!
