Now that’s funny

JH wasn’t the right guy for the merger committee, but overall as a person he was a nice guy.

Mergers don’t make much sense when you can slowly wind down a regional (especially one that doesn’t really have that much flying to begin with) and force those pilots back to the bottom of a pay scale when you transfer their aircraft away.

We are the Golden Standard because we have the Delta bucks behind us. If Delta wants us to remain that Standard they shouldn't entertain letting us go. Also, with our operating costs higher than any other regional out there, TSH, Skywest Holdings, all would be insane to purchase us and think they could have good profit margins. Just my .02

True story.

The question coming will be at what price per barrel is absorbing inflated WO overhead worth the trade off? And at what price per barrel does running 1-2 NB to a market become more CASM sensitive than 3-5 RJs?

Anybody else think we should move this to a new thread? It takes a while to load on mobile. Also the page numbering is getting off.

Page numbering gets off when they delete a lot of posts.

That would be a pretty poor business decision.

Why do people think our operating costs are higher than non wholly owned regionals? Do you know this as fact, or are you you only basing this off of our contract?

I’ve been told the TA that was just voted down by AWA was equal in value to our current contract. Yeah our hourly rates are great but our insurance benefits cost less than others.
