I left Endeavor for United last Aug (after only being there 12 months). There are 70+ per month going thru class these days and there is practically no pool (I waited 5 months). Almost everyone from my class (B737 & A320) is at their base of choice starting next month and off reserve at the junior bases (EWR, SFO, LAX, & DCA for 737).
Bottom line: if you meet the requirements and think you want to come here; get your apps reviewed, send them in, and get your internal contacts to vouch for you. I just did one for a 9E classmate and I plan to stop by HR to check on his app when I go to re-current training next month. This place definitely doesn't have the DAL culture.

I had a past life that included prior military & 121 (I went to 9E to get recurrent). That said my new hire class at United ran the full spectrum of experience. We had two that were 24 with no 121/135 experience (granted they were prior interns) and a few young regional guys. I understand that this is becoming more common. Again, if you meet the quals, I can't emphasize enough to get your app professionally reviewed so that it scores well for an interview invite. If you get the invite, they already know that you're a good pilot and trainable. That want to meet the real you to see if you're a person that they can sit next to for a 4 day trip and still hang out with on the layover. I understand that Delta may be your target, but is it worth passing up the United opportunity knowing that you'll have to wait how long with only 12-15 going per month thru the DGI?

I well exceed the quals, am 40 years old, and have had my application professionally reviewed three times. I'm told I am very competitive (for four years now).
Going to my 10th and 11th job fairs this year.
Have a degree, and a masters.
Glad they are hiring 24-year-olds.....

Thanks for the clarification.
I asked BEFORE getting spooled up to give him a chance to clarify his comment. It’s apparent to me he wasn’t 100% clear as to his intended meaning.
