I thought and stayed here that I thought it would be way higher. But like he said, still kind of early.
About the growth, I can say that my “if” rumor instead of “when” stems from two things. Cost and savings. The A220-100 has proven far better an efficient vehicle than EJets and CR9s. It’s quite possible that mainline will place another order on them. Airbus is/has adding a line for A220s in Mobile.

I think the writing was on the wall when Delta bought new jets for Skywest last year. GoJet flying is going away totally, and RAH will take Compass jets. Delta will cut an additional 100 jets out of DCI for the A220.

Oh, I'm well aware of that. With our contract, and Skywest allowing cost sharing, we are toast. The CRJ550 is probably where Delta is going to go for the 50 seater, and those will be for Skywest. That means we have to park aircraft over the next 5 years, not grow. I would bet $50, our NYC base is cut in half by 2021.

Skywest has a sharing agreement on the 50 seat flying, that's why we lost most of it in DTW/MSP. Our flying will shift back to DTW from NYC to cover GoJet. NYC will be replaced by the A220, and E175s. The CRJ550 will eventually be in LGA by 2022 for Skywest. I could see our NYC base closed by 2025 actually.
The 717 is probably going away by 2025 as well, the A220 will replace all that flying.

For those interested in growth at the Delta Connection carriers, take a look at the announcement posted recently in the SkyWest forum: https://www.airlinepilotforums.com/skywest/119663-more-new-dl175-s-some-old-900-s-go-away.html
How does that square up with “Gold Standard” language?
