I can confirm a similar conversation while I was stuffing ribs down my piehole. Another little birdie also said that hiring is picking up and we're going to start seeing smaller, more frequent training classes as early as August...with monthly tallies north of 40+ moving forward. This could be the big one, guys! (Okay, that's a bit dramatic, but nice to see the meter running for training)

The class part is true. Weekly classes starting in august for the rest of the year.

May happen sooner. We are going to get a fresh wave of pilots leaving before summer is out. Jetblue needs talent and they’re opening their floodgates in July. AA is also about to go full throttle as well, Delta is fat about 250 pilots and sounding crickets, Frontier will be collecting pilots tomorrow and July, Sun Country is giving jobs out nearly over the phone. Atlas is parking planes they can’t staff... Strike while the iron’s hot chaps.

AA is not about to go full throttle. They aren’t even running August classes. Tons of internal displacements/training events.

Delta isn’t fat 250. We may be fat in certain categories but it’s more than offset by shortages in others.

Our latest thinking is smaller, more frequent classes and the last I’ve heard or read is hiring will pick up again in September, post-summer flying.

My internal sources say weekly classes starting in August, confirming your smaller sizes - 8-12 per class, total of 40-45ish. That number could grow in September and beyond. Formal announcement FINALLY due out late July/early August.

Also hearing that aircraft growth could be closer to 30 planes instead of 20. Mark my words. If you're on the fence about dropping an app, now would be the time.
