The training department opened up applications for Instructors last week, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see interviews starting in the next few months.
Awesome, thank you for the response!

I've been told that we have more than enough CJO's on file to handle the hiring we expect to do this year. And that we do not believe we will have to interview external candidates prior to 2022.

That was over a month ago though and it's sounding like hiring MIGHT end up being more than previously thought

The union also mentioned on our live stream this week that Instructor staffing looks like it's going to be higher than before the pandemic. With over 100 instructors.

Probably true, at least for now. Their website said that they are not taking apps. Fingers crossed though.

was told in RGT we may be hiring up to 400 pilots this year. Of course this was stipulated with “subject to no further spikes” or something like that. I doubt we have 400 CJOs.

That would be awesome. What I heard from a union rep in rgt back in Feb was around 100 cjos and could hire an additional 200ish pilots this year.

We did before covid, but I'm not sure how many stayed. In 2018-2019 we were getting about 20-30 good applications per day for a while.

I head 140 CJOs, take that with a grain of salt... some also left the pool for other jobs.

It's certainly possible. All I got from my peeps was that we had enough to cover for this year. That was right when they were just starting to call the cjo holders though. So maybe it was thinner than they thought? I hope so. Would love to see interviews pick back up

I just got an invitation to interview. I was able to hop in the queue last year before they shut it down completely. I dont have an interview date yet because they were simply seeing if I’m still interested, so it could be 8 months in the future, but it’s something.

Can somebody please tell me where the training center is and how long it takes from indoc to end of sims without an ATP-CTP?
