Yes, it will likely end. Management believes the issues today are transitory, and can be fixed within two years, but they are clearly not.

It’s allot of lost revenue having pilots and FAs ride to work and home on a positive space.
DAL can certainly give something to pilots without giving to FAs if they so choose. Just like they gave FAs pay during boarding but not Pilots.

as far as lost revenue… how much lost revenue is there when flight cancellations increase severely because employers can’t make it to work? They don’t have enough pilots/FAs now. Wait until people can’t commute and see what happens. If Delta is smart, they will be working to make this at least remain for longer, if not make it permanent.

Which of those two groups are organized labor? And why did DAL not give the pilots SILs instead of VEOPs? Make no mistake, DAL pilots can’t have anything without DAL FAs getting it. Unless they vote in AFA, then all bets are off.

This is the same airline that describes their staffing as “adequate”. Do you really think they are considering the points you made?

Here's an excerpt from a report from one of our guys who got to hear from our CEO during a base visit:

He said he is aware of recent development with American wholly owned carriers. However, he added that that the situation is different. American is heavily dependent on its regional carriers where as Delta is not as exposed. Management has to look at 'data points' that consider attrition, attrition at other companies, economy, inflation, fuel costs, and long term stability of EDV. He has to look out for pilots who wants to stay at EDV as well as to find a way to retain others who want to move on eventually. He is looking to mitigate lateral attrition while encouraging vertical attrition. He is looking to increase the flow to Delta. He mentioned shrinking in order to achieve this. He wants to stabilize the situation and wants EDV to stay around for a long time. He stated that Delta definitely prefers EDV pilots over other carriers and this is the place to be to go to Delta. (huh?) He understands that seniority/longevity is what the pilots want and he will advocate for that with Delta. But he then immediately added that this will be difficult due to current contract negotiations and management being not very receptive. He stated that the management is aware, and lookin at options but will need time. He again emphasized that no good solution will come fast since long term stability of the company is at priority and variables such as economy, inflation, fuel costs, developing situations in the airline industry must be taken into consideration.
I don't find much of that very encouraging. Sounds like they're not interested in competing with the AAG regionals, and plan for Endeavor to be a shrinking airline. It also seems as if he doesn't understand the nature or scale of the staffing problem that we're likely to face by the end of the year.

The fact that he continues to flatly deny the reality that the fastest way to Delta is to go literally anywhere except Endeavor is insulting to the intelligence of pilots and says to me that he's totally out of touch with the industry and has neither the intention nor the capability to address the issues facing this airline in any meaningful way.

God help us all. I need to go work on some apps, because I don't know how long this place can survive with management burying their heads in the sand.

The fact we have to hear about this via unofficial channels rather than our "leadership" shows how poor of "leaders" they are. Delta can say they prefer us all they want. The fact that almost 90% of new hires come from airlines not named Endeavor speaks more than their hollow words ever will.

Don't come here if you are a new hire/applicant. If you are here, polish up your apps and get out ASAP.

The truth is they prefer our lower pay rates and cost structure. Absent that, they don't give a rat's patootey about us.

NJ was suppose to sit down with JG on the 27th for a podcast. Did that happen?

I think that gets released tomorrow, but it sounds like JG kind of short circuited that with his base visit...

The writing is on the wall. They are going to let this place bleed out. I don’t know what Delta plans to do but it’s obvious that Endeavor is not gonna be part of it.

Endeavor pilots,

Please be aware that there are open trips available for pickupand premium pay has been elevated to 200% from now until July 6th.There is an abundance of CRJ 900 Captain trips available during this time that we need help from our pilot group to cover. If you are available to pick up open time trips we appreciate any help that you can offer in helping cover the operation. Any interested crew members should look at FLICA for open time opportunities. No problems here, please move on!
