As I recall there was a blitz shortly after the board was started by mgmt folks (also pilots on the seniority list) and they were then blocked from the board while in mgmt ranks.

Last I heard there was 1 more planned for the year. I've been out on medical leave but will get some info before I return. Basically from where the last vacancy class dates end, plan on the next vacancy to start within 2-3 weeks after which means about a month before the next vacancy classes begin for posting, at least that's been the trend for the last few vacancies.

I've been logging the time I'm performing the duties as PIC (i.e taxi, taxeoff, enroute, approach and landing) as a separate column in my logbook , but still as SIC) are regionals giving guys a hard time over this that you know of?

I could always log the time as PIC because I'm the sole manipulator and rated, but it's so much simpler to log it all as SIC.
After a long discussion with the Endeavor recruiters and a back and forth with the POI/FSDO, SIC time is only counted at Endeavor from a part 135 operator assuming the following provisions are met:

1. Ensure the FAA approved the 135 initial and annual recurrent training is provided for both the PIC and SIC including the items found in 135.293 (a) items (1) through (9).

2. A competency check by the FAA or authorized check pilot in the class of aircraft that these knowledge tests and flights checks are documented and entered into the PRIA system.

3. Ensure, based on contract with the company that the FAA accepts or has accepted company time as SIC towards the upgrade requirements to act as PIC when a company application for PIC is made.

I'm a new hire based in NYC...do you think there will be any FO vacancies at all in DTW or MSP? Or will this be yet another NYC-only vacancy? The last one, they didn't even fill the secondaries in DTW/MSP, I'm hoping they at least do that and don't keep all us newhires stuck in NYC and continually shrink DTW/MSP. I'm guessing the FO movement will start to go much faster once delta starts taking the FO SSP people.

Right now movement in DTW/MSP is stalled due to the NYC buildup. There might be some secondary slots but if you are in NYC they probably won't let you leave until those positions are comfortably filled. Any primary slots will get snatched up by guys more senior to you.

Just sit tight and relax. I imagine everything will be back to a relatively even keel around January.

You can if you do it as a registered guest, I believe you need proof of something in both your names like a bank account.

This is exactly why I'm going to go ahead and say "no, thanks".
