I like it here at 9E a lot and I think this is a great company to work for... I also hope they work on something in the next few months to keep atracting new hires and keep me motivated to work here. I personally think Delta should give the flow a second thought.

If I was still a cfi Today not knowing much about work rules and looking for a job today, envoy or psa would probably be my top 2 choices.... Flow beats interview and 58k beats 50k a year. Plain and simple.

I dont know how the QOL is at envoy or psa, but based on these forums, is not very good. That is a big plus for 9E, which I think has excellent work rules except for reserve (Which I didnt really care cause only did it for 1 month)... On October I have over 20 days off and weekends off as a line holder. That is hard to beat, specially if I have been here only 5 months.
Oh boy, I guess you will never plan on upgrading, or having junior guys bid out/quit and fall back on reserve....

Second case was the junior reserve pilot was not contactable the day prior and they stick you with the RR shift and leave the junior pilot on home reserve. Another; more questionable scenario I was given is as follows. A junior reserve pilot was given an assignment( I choose last out as a preference) and I was then assigned RR due to pecking order. For whatever reason the once given assignment was removed and that pilot was placed back on home reserve even though I was still showing P1 RR. Scheduling said that is just a bad break and they couldn't change it for whatever technical/contractual reasons.
Nowhere in the contract does it allow them to skip a P2 (P3 was allowed in an LOA) because they are not overnightable. Some how this has just become scheduling's policy with nothing to back it up.
As for the last scenario, yea it's b.s. once given an assignment (RR is considered a trip) they won't just remove it.. it only gets removed if it benefits them or there is something overriding in the contract (a lineholder picking up for open time that was processed after reserve assignments for example)

FO's Bi***ing about being on reserve 3-9 months and upgrade in 9-16 months. Wow times have changed. Stop complaining, if you want to go to envoy go ahead nobody is stoping you. You're just dumb to leave this place right now. The 900 captain side has had guys on reserve for a while now which sucks but in time as upgrades increase all will be well.

Looking to make the move to lga and commute from DCA. Any idea where some decent accommodations are that are cheap

Sounds like a matter for your rep and grievances committee. Theyll have you file a grievance with dates and times but if the practice is against the contract they'll either get it stopped and you paid, or you'll get paid everytime they do it if they choose not to stop. Be a good item for reserve captains to look out for, since the FOs are too busy in crew rooms begging scheduling to use them out of order because they want to upgrade first in their class (heard outside lga crew room).

If any endeavor FOs are listening who do this, just stop. Reserve has enough problems without you begging scheduling to use you out of order.

Even at 3 classes times 14 that is only 42 which is short of 50-60 a month. More important question is did we have any no shows and if so why? The next few classes will be an indication if AA increase for the WOs is impacting our ability to hire. The bidding war is far from over in my opinion.

To add on what you said. I am a 135 guy with a class date at Endeavor early next month. I also have a offer at Piedmont. I (sorta) live between NYC and PHL.

So where does that leave me? As of now I am 100% for Endeavor. Mostly because Piedmont didn't take the same offer as the other ones. If they did, I would really have to think about it. Although it won't be a issue if they don't take it in time because once I am in school for Endeavor I would not leave.

If we can't get enough guys delta will sweeten the pot. Promise.

We all want you to come but we all want more money. If you choose piedmont anyway no hard feelings but 14 a class is low. Probably too low if it continues. Lets face it, envoy is better deal with better pay for a while and that makes us second on some new hire lists.

As of now I am coming to Endeavor. The deal works for me and I really liked everyone there. I was not as impressed with the entire application/interview process at PDT.

Hopefully we have a big class! See you guys soon!
