No. In the airlines, it refers to contractual rules such as min day, trip rig, duty rig, deadhead pay, cancellation pay, IOE drop pay, anything above guarantee pay, etc....

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I also believe this to be the case. Though I think a couple pages ago he was talking about 401k soft pay, so you're both right.

This is correct. The previous post was not.

You are right, I guess my reply was incomplete.

So you're upset with the pay at the regionals because you do the same job at mainline but are compensated less, however you’re interested in Spirit even though you will fly an Airbus for almost half of what delta, United and American is paying?

I'd really like to hear if this is true. Hard to believe though. Seems like it would be a conflict of interest for other mainline new hires. They'd be continually pushed down the list as people move up from the flow. It would completely change the ballgame for the regional leapfrog though. Would also give people a lot more motivation to turn down our TA.

If it were true wouldn't the guys in the WO forums be talking about this. This sounds like a pretty big deal if it were true.

I agree. It's too big of news to have been out there for weeks without the forums blowing up.
