You could call the Howard Johnson (718) 461-3888 and see if they have a crew rate. Otherwise call base ops at LGA (not going to post that number here) and see what they have to say.

I've stayed here a few times... Personally, I think it's pretty amazing for the price. If the listing is booked the day you need, check her profile for other rooms in the house.

OK so a newbie here
I've been stalking this forum for a few weeks now since I got scheduled for my interview at Endeavor. I got a CJO with an ATP class date in December and class in Minnesota starting January.
I've been able to pick up on most of what you guys are talking about and have actually had many questions answered just following the link discussion but I have a few that are lingering:
9E......Endeavor?
I see a lot of talk about SSI and I'm guessing that's something to do with the "guaranteed" delta interview but having trouble piecing it together.
For the most part it seems most guys are happy with Endeavor. Heck the guy that recommended it to me had been let go by the company a year or so ago and he still had nothing but good things to say about it. To me that meant quite a bit. I guess my question is.....would you do it again?
It seems the prevailing thought here is with Envoy boosting their program, that Endeavor will follow suit, do you really think so or just being opttimistic.
It hasn't swayed my intent to go to class in January buy I'm just curious.

YV FO with ~800 121 time SIC.
YV appears to be a ship taking on water and headed towards an iceberg.. and leadership sees it but keeps going full steam ahead!
Considering a lateral move; what would upgrade at 9E look like for someone like me?
Also, are those retention bonuses only thru '18 or will they continue past that?

Likely half the time it would take to even sniff mainline through the AAWOs. I'm contemplating it myself, but wouldn't move as fast as you. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

9E is Endeavor's IATA code
The SSI was the other side of the DGI coin. Now that I've made it more confusing I'll elaborate. When DGI came out it was a new hire incentive and the SSI was a way to encourage the rest of the airline to stay on board. SSI has been completed, or so I understand, and the DGI program will start soon for those who were hired under it.
In a heartbeat. I value QoL (quality of life) over almost everything else in the airline business. I would have flown at Mesa if it meant I would be able to live in base. The choice of an airline is unique to each persons desires. Endeavor was the only airline (at the time) that had a base where I lived so I chose to interview for them. Other than that I think 9E is by far and away the friendliest company I have worked for. It's a complete 180 from what it used to be a few years ago.
A rising tide lifts all ships. While the response may not be immediate there will be one. If Endeavor reports to Delta that pilots are leaving to go to Envoy or PSA, and new hires are rejecting CJO's, and/or fewer pilots are submitting applications then they will have to respond in kind. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. I imagine by next spring there will be concrete talks of changes to pay/bonuses. That being said this is the most reactive industry on earth. Delta won't do anything unless Endeavor can't meet their hiring quota.
