Thanks for the advice, I ended up getting it sorted and there is no miss award, I got confused by the wording in the contract and today had it explained to me in a way that helped me to understand. Now I can put that to rest and spend more time think about family and flying and having fun

Well, more stable is a relative term; if one is living paycheck to paycheck, then I would say you are correct. But it sure is nice when those deposits surprisingly appear each trimester!
I agree though, I hope we get rid of the bonus and just pay a livable wage. Though one of the reasons I chose Endeavor over other companies who were offering bonuses is because EDV paid them to ALL pilots on property, including CAs, not just new hires.
If we DO move to a higher pay rate without the bonuses, just realize that while your pay will be more "stable", you will also be paying more taxes each pay period. Sure, you won't have 25% withheld from the three bonus payments, but the additional pay may well put you in a higher tax bracket, meaning you will pay a higher percentage on a higher pay, therefore negating some of the gain in pay each month. But just like now, it will all work out at the end of the year when you file your tax return.

My wife told me to give up Pbs and forums. This month is the transition to focusing on life instead of the virtual world. Life is short, then you die. Just dealt with cancer and 6 months of chemo. Back to work, waiting on a medical (expected to be just paperwork in wait), but ya know what... you can spend all kinds of time on forums, but life continues. Either live it, or ignore it. I'm done with trying to play "source" or refute folks saying what they think will happen as truth. Trust, yet verify. I've done that, for almost a decade, and been in the fold to the point of the table, seen reality on the outside, and lived life almong the way. I'm done.
I'll visit from time to time, but the notifications (hey, that's why I'm replying) are now off, and I'm living life as God intended. If we cross paths and you reference me (or anyone does), I'll buy the first round. Life starts when you decide to live it. I've lived through 2 heart surgeries, 6 months of chemo, (in the last 24 months) and 3 years of infertility with the wife. I'm 31, and I thought by being at a regional at 21, with a 4-year degree, was a step to a quick path, but life has its own pace. Enjoy what you have, and make the most of what you know.
If you want to make God laugh, just vocalize your plans. Remember 1 thing- it can always be worse. 6' under is the worst case.
God Speed. If you don't believe in God, well worst case- you could be dead. Done. Love your life and figure out what actually matters, guess what, focus on that. Wish everyone the best.

We all owe you a debt of gratitude for being the voice of reason time and time again! I get where you're coming from and have strongly considered unplugging myself. Good luck! And thanks for all the info!!!

The MD80s can't go into LGA starting this spring which I'm sure means more of our 900s getting planted out there too.
I think MSP is seeing shrinkage at all regionals except GoJet (*eye roll*). My buddies at SkyWest are saying their flying has started to shrink there too.

Apparently they are not RNAV capable and the FAA wants to "clear up" some uo the clutter that is New York airspace and make it more RNAV ish like Charlotte. So out with the mad dog and in with I'll assume more 717s and 900s or 737s

I don't agree at all and I'm glad the Union choose not to end the bonus early, no one knows how the pay rates are going to work. If you fly CODs, like your username suggests there is a good chance you will be taking a pay cut. Think about the bonus, you don't have to fly a single flight and you get paid $23K a year. It doesn't matter if you drop, take FMLA or fly the absolute minimum possible you still got the $23K. I don't know why people are looking forward to a possible pay cut.

I agree with this 100%, the bonus is also paid out of free cash, making it a non issue for Delta to pay it. By converting it to hourly, it now comes out of the bottom line, meaning we won't possibly see a penny more till section 6. The greed of people who have to squeeze every dime out of the system is once again the loudest voice in the room.
We want it on payscales.
All open time picked up would pay more, sick time, disability,,
401k match. If we wait all other possible improvements will wait also.
