Yes but all FOs could take first available upgrade and the upgrade time would still drop. The amount of hiring and attrition we have is what's causing the upgrade time to drop. People bypassing/waiting for the 175 helps too though.

Nonsense. We are still scheduled to lose 9 CRJs this year, around 24 CRJs next year, the 140s will keep us hull neutral or slightly positive.
The good: The new hires are here, the minimum required hrs to complete IOE for upgrades is down to 10hrs (on the 145 at least), more check airman coming because more money is being offered, new sims, the infamous 2 year upgrade is almost a reality. Company is doing all they can on the training front.
The bad: the schedules, RSV rules and QOL issues, not much has changed unfortunately, schedules still suck, RSV rules suck.

Common sense does not equal propaganda. Based on your logic, I will expect no future metering of the flow and an immediate announcement of protected pilot list selection, with no delay in flow as we transition from the last of the 824 selectees.

He's saying the more planes the larger the seniorty list. More people means longer flows.

That's not how the flow works for new hires. It is a direct ratio to amount of pilots on seniority list. He is saying more planes with same amount of pilots means management will have a reason to meter.

That being said all my flow projections for myself have been based off of 25/month, so I couldn't care less if we hire a lot or not.

From what I've heard, AA is slowing down all of their hiring over the summer so we might not even get to 25 some months. That's just hearsay though. It'd be nice to get some communication from ALPA and/or the company regarding what to expect.

And don't forget that the 50%/metered to 25 does not apply until the 40th 175 is on the property. For now it is only 35%, with no metering. It will be definitely be under 25 for the next few months.
RW was obviously lying when he said 330+ in January, just like he was lying when he said 300+ for 2016 the January before. The company apologists on here jumped all over anyone who claimed the 330+ number was a joke, but obviously it was.
