Still haven't had any selections from (or communications regarding) the PP List! But you're right: new hires are coming in waves, every week now.

Exactly. It's getting painfully obvious now that there won't be PPs in June. I bet they have the excuse locked and loaded already. Any guess as to what it'll be?

"We don't care about you, and due to our poor utilization of pilot resources, we decided to not do any flows."

Wait, they would never go with the truth.

"Due to [made up lie], we weren't fully prepared in enough time to send flows for the month of June."

No, that won't work either, they would never accept the blame.

"{Radio silence}" or "blah blah blah, made up empty BS that in no way implicates management"

Here's how to tell if the flow is violated in June. According to Sam Pool's 4/14 email, the last 11 of the 824 will be flowing in June. In Letter 12-03 of our contract, it states:

"if the last new hire class containing Eagle pilots occupying any of the 824 positions contains fewer than 35% Eagle pilots, then AA agrees to offer to Eagle pilots under this Agreement the number of positions necessary to achieve 35%."

So if AA hires 31 pilots or less in June, then they don't need to add any PPs to make 35%. But if AA hires more than 31 pilots in June, we need PPs in class to get it to 35% of whatever the total is, or they will be violating the flowthrough agreement. Selection is meaningless, except that they have to select in time to get us 35% in class in June.

Sometimes AA slows down its classes in the summer months. The first May class at AA only had 21, though it looks like they will have 3 classes beginning in May (if they keep starting them every other Tuesday). We'll have to wait and see how many go to class in June.

This is how I read it anyway, it seems pretty cut and dry. If they violate the flow...well everyone will have to decide for themselves what reaction will be appropriate.

I guess they can't combine 824 and PP in the same month (something about AA seniority order: an older PP pilot can be senior to a younger 824 pilot if on the same class), so about 12 flows in June, then in July 35% of the AA class, Aug with the arrival of #40, back up to 25 per month. Another slow summer.

That's not what Letter 12-03 says. There is supposed to be overlap.

Yeah, it's fun wading through the legalese.

Just for the record it says in the Comair II contract (Letter 15-01) that "The provisions of Letters 12-02, 12-03, and 12-04 ("Protected Pilots") shall remain in full force"

The can't mess with the flow. The moment they do, this place will implode.

That's funny, I said something like that a few weeks ago, and you responded something to the effect that this pilot group and the union didn't have the backbone to do anything about it. You're slipping.
