Envoy would be the E145 in ORD?

They pay about the same. Both have the $45k bonus. I'm racking my brain.

Interview with GoJet next week. Might schedule one with Envoy also.
The DEC program at Envoy is going to end very soon. If you take a position you’ll be at the literal bottom of the reserve list for two years.

Yeah this. I would avoid being a DEC at all costs now coming into Envoy, with the one exception of being in base and not minding airport standby as your primary bid. You dont want to be the last one hired.

Unfortunately that's not possible. I'm in LFT and moving isn't an option.

Basically, my choices are boiling down to which carrier will suck the least.

2 leg commute to 4 am RAP on your first day for 2 years to ORD at envoy. Sounds fun...

I promise you, being a DEC at this point, commuting to reserve for the next several years will be nothing short of hell and if your family is the reason for you not moving, this will put a huge stress on that.

Dont believe the recruiters, it will be hell. Your choice ultimately and please do come back and let us know your decision.

Put it this way, your life for at least the next two years will essentially be. 4am RAP day 1, airport stby the next 4 days, a two leg commute home either your last day or on a day off. About 12-24 hours to actually be home and then repeat. This isn't even talking about all the hotels/crash pads you will need to buy in case you dont actually fly on airport stby, which is often the case. If you came in with the DEC program in the beginning or if it was continuing, I would say go for it. However, they have said it is ending this summer, so you could very well be the last or close to the last one. You have, at rough guess, 800 FO's that are ahead of you that will upgrade and perpetually move you down the Captain list.

Thanks for the brutally honest truth. I really appreciate.

I'll post what I decide and where I end up. Thanks again.

They don't give any details on their website and I didn't ask the recruiter that contacted me.

Maybe similar to GoJet. $25k at the start of class, $10k after IOE, and $15k at one year anniversary?
