This is my issue with this thread and has always been my issue.

He works with us. If you have an issue with him, seek him out and tell him. You have the ability to look up his schedule so you can find him and tell him face to face if you want. Or you can simply look up his company email and send him a message. Those that don't work here can comment at his youtube videos and message him via his youtube account where he actually posts the videos.

But posting here behind anonymous usernames behind the guise of "he's on youtube so he's a public figure"? Come on guys, that's chicken **** and cowardly. This isn't some inaccessible celebrity or politician.

You seem to forget that at any point, anyone can play the victim. With his followers and the company's blessing, you'll be fired if he doesn't like your tone.

Is there any evidence that he operates that way? All I've seen here are people complaining about things from inferred preferential treatment to jokes about his sexuality and nothing about retaliation from him. At some point you guys need to move on and put this to rest.

Mods should have put this to rest a long time ago.

Edit: To add on more thing... people here are more likely to say something inappropriate than when their names are behind what they are saying. But the thing is, these 'anonymous' personas we have here are very thinly vailed. Many people have already figured out who we are. Don't think you can just go off like a crazy person and someone can't "play the victim", as you put it, and you're gonna be fine.

Jealousy can be an ugly thing. I am happy for him. Apparently Envoy thinks he provided some recruiting value because they approved every video.

If one is really worried about that, keep it to a textual format like an email that can be referenced later.

Everyone posting that this should be closed, or we should all search his schedule and seek him out in person seem to forget that this is a public forum, one in which ideas, thoughts, complaints and the like can be openly discussed. If we just slam shut every forum post that some dont like, we would never have anything on here.

While there may be a few posters that dont like the guy, my beef has always been that I didnt like him promoting recruiting while we were in the midst of a large issue with the company and I dont think it is fair that he gets to make extra money working hand in hand with the company and others cant. If that is the case, he should drop out of the union and become a management style pilot. As it stands now, he makes extra money with the blessing and cooperation of the company, bonus no other pilot that I am aware of gets and to that point, a bonus that has been actively taken away from other pilots.

This guy, whom I am sure is great, gets to play both ends of the field. He gets union protections while at times doing things counter productive to the unions goals, all the while also having the blessings of management. This is different than hustling your way through the shows trying to get contacts to get out early, as that is something we all can do. This hustle is something unique that is barred off from the rest of the pilot group.

Anyway, thats my two cents. I dont really lose sleep or even think about this guy or his videos unless this thread gets active and even then, I just poke my head in to offer a prospective besides, "shut this thread down", "he is gay so thats why we are mad" or "you all are just jealous" or "you all are just lazy". There are actual valid reasons to not approve of the videos and none of them have anything to do with the person themselves, but rather the situation and context of which they exist.

There's always one boomer who comes in to threads and says "if you were a real man you'd meet me by Starbucks to discuss this in person!"

I don't really disagree that his special access should be treated like a management position but much of this thread has been unnecessarily personal with little to do with that. If the discussion always stayed on whether he should be in the union or not or along those lines, I wouldn't be posting my complaints as to why this thread is allowed.
