The 145 will continue to muddle about and lose better credit lines to the 175. Envoy is two different airlines depending on which fleet you are in.
Fair point and I should have been more clear.

Don't make it sound as if the 145 ORD lines are hell. February lines are showing 1 line with 17 days off and numerous 16 and 15 day off lines with 72+ hours of credit. If you want more credit pick up OT...

There are about 100 lines that have less than 75 hours of credit. Not much OT to pick up when 150+ guys are looking to pick it up. What should I pick up? The Marquette trip with a lost day for <1 hour per day?

Trade into higher credit trips, pick up P2P trips (yes I know its straight pay but it's still something), pick up OT out of base, if there's a will theres a way. I'm not sure where these 19 days off with 95 hour lines exist...

You do realize that there are over 600 pilots on reserve at The Envoy. No opportunity to trip trade, and big restrictions on the ability to pick up OT on 11 days off a month. Mentioning 1 or 2 great lines, rather than describing the overwhelming majority or lines, doesn't really add much useful information to the conversation.

I understand that there are 600 pilots on reserve, likewise, there are 1700 people on the line. Thats the great thing about "The Envoy" has you so eloquently put it is that every month you move up a minimum of 20 spots. Reserve times are short especially compared to other regionals, movement is fast, I'm not saying reserve is perfect, but show me another company that has a better combination. Yes RAH, SKW, may have better QOL (again depending on base/AC) but if you think reserve times here are lengthy, look at what you have there, due to the lack of flow theres reduced movement meaning more time on reserve. I'm not trying to be a cheerleader for any group, but this notion that this place is doom and gloom is beyond ridiculous by a huge margin.

I think the issue with reserve here comes down to two main issues.

1. Being forced upgraded to a plane/base that will force a commute for most people.
2. After this occurs, you now have the crappier parts of our reserve system kick in, such as auto 4am RAPs and the like.

As I pointed out in another thread, I feel Envoy has made improvements on virtually all fronts, with reserve rules being one of the exceptions. Reserve may be longer at SKW, I dont know, taking your word on it, but chances are you have gotten to a base close to your living situation and are not being required to upgrade out of your seat if you dont want to.

I agree, Envoy has made massive improvements recently, there's definitely work to be done, but this place is by no means a bad place to work. Anyone who thinks otherwise simply doesn't know what they're talking about and hasn't been in the industry long enough.

for what it’s worth, travel planner shows Skywest taking over almost all CPZ LAX routes by October/Novemberish... Seems to jive with the fact we’re getting the planes and not the base.

Actually, there are less than 1300 line holders, if you care to actually count the hard lines or look to see how many are below 75 hours. That means the ratio of lineholder to reserve is 2:1.

Movement is based off of two things, growth and attrition. Growth is pretty much over everywhere as all scope clauses are maxed out. If there is any growth, it is because one regional took flying from another regional. For attrition, there really isn't much of a difference between Envoy and everywhere else. We lose about the same ratio of pilots as every other regional. The difference is we know Envoy loses them at the top to AA, whereas other places lose pilots more in the middle of the list to a wide variety of places.

I wouldn't count on those places keeping longer reserve times than Envoy. RAH overhired as they were banking on growth that never came their way. Those places also haven't faced as much attrition as normal partly due to places like Southwest not hiring because of the 737 Max situation. However, those companies don't keep a reserve pool bigger than the pilot group of Air Wisconsin like Envoy does.
