What's the best method to complain about it?
It is a lot more common than people think, please email the union at the email above and if they approve, grieve it. CS is probably our biggest headache and they abuse, if not break the contract often.

It needs to be brought up every time there is a clear violation so that the issues can be fixed.

If you have screen shots of the occurrence you can grieve it. With sufficient evidence it's helpful to the pilot group when it goes through. If you win I think you get the block pay for what you missed. Don't have the contract in front of me.
So when a scheduler is flat out rude every time you call, how do we kindly let the company know? I am talking not even a hi back when they answer the phone.

You can pipeline that type of stuff too which goes to the relevant managers.

Once it’s in writing they can’t not do something.

Pipeline it, like said below. For a couple of them, it's gone on way too damn long. It's like they're choosing to be rude before they even call, even when I answer with a friendly "good morning, how's it going?".

I realize their job is a lot of dealing with a few aggrated pilots per shift, but that's what they signed up for. Always remember that the conversation is recorded and it behooves you to be at last decent on the phone.

I've heard from multiple sources that the CS manager is a disgruntled ex wife of a pilot, and that she passes along her resentment to her employees treatment of the pilot group. Rumor or not, that's how I feela fair number of them treat our conversations, lol. There are definitely a few super nice ones that are apologetic for calling at 4am etc, and I often let them know how much I appreciate them being a friendly voice, or something nice.

Question about vacation time,

The earliest I could get a class date would be August 2019. I have a family member who is have a wedding in April 2020. How flexible is Envoy about requesting time off? If i am still on reserve would that make it harder to get the time off?

You should accrue 3, possibly 4 days of vacation in 2019 to use in 2020. We bid for 2020 vacation slots in November of 2019. You might get lucky and get exactly the vacation slot you want, then in March you can bid for certain days off in April to complement your vacation. All depends on your base and how senior you will be in that status by that point in time.

By the time the wedding comes along with that many months with the company you should easily be able to bid around it.

Lots of variables. Are you a cadet? If so your vacation has been accruing since you signed on and you can try to apply it when bids open in November. Or in the monthly bids if unsuccessful.
Otherwise as mentioned above depending on base and equip if you are holding a line by then you can bid/trade around it. Or try to apply the couple days of VC you will have accrued by then. If still on reserve well good luck. You can try to get a RSV line that works best with the aforementioned accrued VC days.

...or you can be Envoyed and have them place your VC in front of a 6 day RSV block (when you cant legally work anyway), with no chance to move it.
