Simple, Envoy refuses to adjust their compensation and work rules to reflect the changing market in comparison to the other regionals

It would be great to see the cadets leaving to take positions elsewhere until management comes to their senses

I agree completely. I would like to see a lot (all) of the cadets and RTPs in the pipeline go elsewhere. And I certainly agree with “Yes, I signed a contract and Envoy is no longer competitive with the industry.” But there still is a financial cost of breaking these contracts that will have to be dealt with.

For everyone who responded I appreciate it. I’ll relay the word to him. I figured there would be some sort of obligation which is something he will need to consider. Thanks again!

I think it’s been brought up before that the $5k thing is a myth.

The $5k thing used to be how much money they paid you while you were instructing hitting hours wickets.

If they individual didn’t take the money, they shouldn’t have to pay anything back. Historically PSA has had no problems with taking applicants from Envoy or Piedmont.

As far as I know they put a value on the flight benefits and all other “perks” you get while youre a CFI which is 5k.. i dont think the company will let you off the hook after using their flight bennies then going to another regional just like that

I guess you’re just guessing and don’t really know.

The answer is: it’s different for everyone depending on what agreement they signed.

There’s a difference between what a recruiter says, and what you actually sign.

My contract only talks about repaying the $5,000 in bonuses if you accept them. There is no mention of paying for using the benefits they give you.

Read the contract you signed, don’t trust what other people say.
