Except they’re on a blended rate and their ratio of large to small RJ’s far exceeds ours so we’d end up making less.

That seems pretty stupid. Hourly rate isn't the only thing that factors in to your paycheck

I mean, you can dither and make Mesa money forever while cadets form concentric circles of bodies around EHQ in Embraer 175 hats or you can strike while the iron is hot.

I’m just as impatient as most of you, but we need to let the union do their thing. They have more information in all areas of this than we do and access to documents we don’t have the ability to see.

To the union: Just do it smart please and we must demand results. Not 3 months of “we are negotiating...” and then a email that says the company is no longer interested in speaking with us.

You think that, well so much for the informed. MEC does not know more than the line pilot on what they want.
The email blast just proves that. Better read the last two paragraphs slowly again.

Yep, they are on a blended rate. However, their pay goes UP as the small RJs leave the property and the ratio of large RJs increases.

So, our negotiations need to take that into account and make sure we are not settling for pay “parity” now, which will end up being lower pay later down the road.

As far as that goes, Envoy has the “Group” rates, so it isn’t really aircraft specific. And our number of “heavies” is increasing as well, albeit very slowly, so our overall rate should go up as well.

Right. But this is seniority based banding for CA only vs across the board for everyone.

IMO id like to see everyone on the same blended rate and no more pay banding, it complicates things and only benefits the top 20% of the seniority list...albeit just a few dollars.
