A TLDR came out not too long ago from the MEC. I would hope that the MEC is starting to prepare for October when the company comes for the few "valuable" things that we have in the amendment round.

They had over a $3B market cap before corona because of it. Envoy is just a line item. Our revenue (on paper) is whatever AAG wants it to be.

Eagle was for sale or being spun off almost every 4 years of the contract right before or during contract negotiations. They lie all the time. They claimed to never have exact cost/expense or know the exact revenue from running EagleVoy. The bankruptcy forced them to open to open the actual books. They know to the penny where everything goes and comes from. Everything else was a lie. If they’re telling you they don’t know, they’re lying.

they outsource for flexibility, whipsaw, backup and buffers. Places like Skywest make money because the CPA has an agreed upon %profit built right in it. It used to be almost 10% in the 200’s. I’d say that down to costs plus 5 or 6% these days. AAG plays one contract feeder off the other in a bidding war of who’ll do it the cheapest.... just like they play PDT, PSA and ENY against each other.

keep telling yourself Envoy is just a line item. I’ll tell you for a fact that when they opened their books they knew exactly how much that “line item” earned them. It was around $100M a year on average.

They’re coming for our OT rates

Doesn't sound very cost neutral to me. Sounds like a fat, delicious boiled egg for Pedro to devour.

An average egg only contains 5g of fat. So can't be that fat of an egg.

It's an ostrich egg. Our OT rules are one of the the best things in our otherwise lousy contract.

Use the “Sched Info” tab and you’ll see arrival and departure options listed in that menu.

Have to note with AirPortal, any month that ends in P is a proposal, the ones with F are the final schedules. Pay attention to those more than the P’s.

Studentloandebt 06-14-2020 07:36 AM

Looks like Republic is taking most flying in lga, and Jfk is still non existent.

Inclined plane 06-24-2020 04:33 PM

Hey can anyone tell me how to determine one’s rest periods for inputting into crew scheduling’s OT request website?

3GreenKSNA 06-24-2020 04:48 PM

They are looking for a 30 hour window within the last 7 days on both sides of the trip meaning you are legal to pick it up. If it's a stand alone trip then the before the trip rest period ends at sign in time and starts 30 hours earlier. The rest period at the end of the trip starts 15 minutes after scheduled arrival time for domestic or 30 minutes for international and that rest period ends 30 hours after that.

It starts getting confusing when you throw in reserve days etc. For the purposes of calculating a 30 hour window, on day one of reserve you duty on at 4:00AM and on the last day even though you don't know your assignment on the last day you need to assume you are on duty until midnight.

So let's say you are working reserve Monday-Friday and you want to pick up OT on Sunday or the day before you go on reserve. You end up working 6 days in a row which is the max. You have to go off duty from your OT by 18:00 so you are legal at 4:00AM. Those 6 days all turn into a trip for the purposes of calculating 30 hours of rest so the 30 hour clock starts at Midnight between Friday and Saturday and ends 30 hours after that.

Instead of picking up OT before your 5 days of reserve you decide you want to pick it up on Saturday after reserve. You can't have a sign in time any earlier than 10:00AM because you could be on duty until midnight. For the 30 hours rest calculation. Mon-Sat is now a "whole trip" the rest before the trip ends at 4:00AM on Monday and starts 30 hours before that. The rest after the trip ends following the 15 or 30 minute rule I described earlier.

Hope this helps everyone out.

When can we expect the displacement bid?

I'm junior for my seat and would like to know if I can hold it going forward.

shinydiscoballs 06-25-2020 08:14 AM

Union needs to step its game up and tell us how many possible furloughs, instead of vague financial responsibility emails.
We are all adults and need our money's worth instead of don't buy a PS4, lawn lawnmower, and or a boat lol.

Have you considered the possibility that the Union might not have those numbers?

Historically, the company doesn't tell the union anything until right before (or after ) they send an email or hi6 about it. so the union is probably going to be blindsided just like the rest of us

You guys are skipping a step.
First they obtain concessions from PSA. Then they tell us that we aren’t competitive with them so we need to take a pay cut to avoid losing all our flying to them necessitating furloughs.

If they just straight furlough us, how can they have their cake and eat it too?

"You need a pay cut"

Nah, just cut me loose chief. I'd rather be free agent anyways.

Or they might have a strong hunch of something, but nothing concrete that can be announced.

If your desired OT has a lost day that can be your 7D as well.

I know you're trying to be a smart ass, but it does affect real going concerns in my life.

As long as it is 30 hours off that can count.
