It is a really great movie. Very satirical. You should watch it.

ORD 175 base closing??

Anyone heard these rumors of the Chicago base closing? Apparently AAG wants us to focus on the new DC and PHX routes and they are planning to move most of the 175s to Dallas and planning for more growth in MIA. Republic and Skywest taking over most of the 76 seat flying in ORD... with the 175 line count already low in ORD their is no sense in keeping a 175 base there. Not sure if these rumors are true but I’ve heard them from a couple of people now.

My experience has been that if the rumor f u c k s over envoy crews, put them in financial distress and keep them away from their loved ones then you can bet on it happening. Kinda like you can bet on the sun coming up every day.

It makes sense, specially because Chicago is still in a lockdown. Lori Lighfoot won’t open the city anytime soon. And honestly, I’m ok with that. Let Republic and SkyPest deal with the cold weather while we have warm overnights in the Caribbean. I can also see us putting the 145s in CLT, which would be a good opportunity to collect those 10 extra hours during the opening of a base. Vasu Raja has already said that DFW and CLT are AA’s focus cities during the pandemic.

We've heard rumors of our (OO) AA 175s going to LAX, PHX, or ORD at the end of the year...whatever AA's plan is pilots will be the last to know. I think the "new" (super old) 700s are going to DFW/ORD/PHX beginning in March.

And that's why from peak 159 line's to a whopping 25 line's in april on the e175

On the bright side the ord people won’t have to deal with the nastiness of MR and his team.

Warm overnights in the Caribbean are great until the FAA bans us from flying there due to too many runway excursions

In fairness I don’t think Envoy has a lock on the excursion problem. Nor is it a regional issue. Good news though - no snow in the Caribbean. No mention of PSA or Mesa.
