Nah I’m not that careless or clueless to do that, like others apparently are. Thanks for the concern???

Nice to know we don't have more pressing issues to address.

It’s time to make weed legal for pilots

NotChewbacca 11-11-2021 06:42 AM

Anyone know how November attrition is looking? Are we on track to have another 60+ departures? What is the class date for those flowing?

I mean, everyone knows the company is inept and can’t accomplish the simplest of tasks. Their next screw up will probably be a doozy. So why not wonder if we can have beards? Even if it is a pipe dream because AA controls the branding and image guidelines. So unless mainline gets beards, the WO’s won’t get them.

Yeah. How prophetic. Doesn’t have anything to do with beards, but the next screw is definitely a doozy. Captain bonus payments won’t be as per the LOA.

This aged well.

Is everyone getting the 145 in training.

What are the avg reserve times right now. Is it likely to get DFW out of training

They were a week late on their 401K payments, and now will be at least 2 weeks late on the bonus payments.

The question that you should be asking yourself instead is "will this company uphold its contractual obligations and compensate its people properly?" and "do I really want to work for a company that is going to jack up pay multiple times in two weeks?"

This.

It blows my mind this dude really came on and asked that question.

But let me not be that disgruntled pilot, he’s innocent and just doesn’t know better.

Looks like our friends at SkyWest are now operating the 175 on behalf of AA in ORD. May their reign be long and prosperous.

Saw one in TUL, but don’t know where it was headed.

Configured to 65 seats for scope, making them plug and play for CR7 flying. For now. I'm sure some #SkyBest fan boy will be by soon enough to educate us.

If you look at all the other posts from that dude you would totally understand why. There isn't a regional forum here he hasn't annoyed. This has been going on for what seems like 3 years now. We just all wish some regional will hire him already so all of his questions can be contained into one section and only one regional has to suffer, hopefully not mine.

For those that remember, this is how Republic showed up in NYC and look how that turned out.

First it was one or two planes. Then half a dozen. Then 20 and they'd basically taken over LGA. Then one or two popped up at JFK... and within 6 months the base was closed.

This will happen again and again until the incompetent management at Envoy is purged, since we can't compete with the contractors with that amount of dead weight dragging down profits.

Normally I’d agree, but we didn’t operate the same aircraft as Republic in NY. Those 140s weren’t the right airplane for NY, that’s why our base closed. I think ORD is a different story.

ENY management is only a small part of the problem. AAG could fix this if they wanted to.

The reality is the AAG WOs have become a dead end. AAG has switched its game plan and they aren’t willing to PURCHASE the new planes that the WOs need to compete. RPA and SKW have the money to buy the planes so AAG will continue to give them the flights.

Cost neutral item. Would be nice to get this outdated rule changed.

Some airlines still in the 1950s mindset. A real captain has a nice clean beard like Sean Connery in that movie. I look like a chipmunk everytime I shave to show up for work ffs.

This. Well except for the "AAG could fix this if they wanted to" part. AAG can't afford new planes at this time, period.

OpieTaylor 11-28-2021 06:42 AM

AAG will fix it. Delta and AA are in contract negotiations I think both contracts will address seniority to mainline from respective regional feed. To big of a problem to ignore. Some pilots may balk at a staple or longevity credit, but they want a contract in the middle of Covid, and it’s a freebie for them to give. If there is one list, there are 0 threats to adding 4 seats to large RJs, and 5 to 65 seaters, keep block ratio same or improve it, and only on planes they have direct seniority too. The fleet generates more revenue.

Kirby is setting United up to upgrade RJs swapping a 70 seat 170 for a 70 seat 175, makes no sense unless you plan to go to the mattresses over adding 6-10 seats at a later date.

Over at psa we talk about getting a seniority # at AA instead of bonuses. But then we generally laugh at it cause we know AA will never actually need to do it. If it happens then great but bailing early for even a ULCC might be worth as much. Not to mention the resistance it will probably get from AA pilots will hold it off for years.
