was there a CBA change in there to allow them to hire people at different pay steps based upon years of 121 experience, or are the recruiters inventing stuff again?

Yes there was, but only if every senior pilot on lower rate gets promoted too so it would be expensive to do so.
Let’s say the company decides it needs the year three pay to get new hires in the door. Anyone that was on year one or two when that begins kicks up to year three as well. The 121 “Longevity credit” is similar to what several other places have done. You come to Envoy with four years and 1600 hours at another 121 and you get year four pay as well as year four vacation accrual. That was part of the Restated Retention Bonus and implementation of that is only applicable to each person individually with prior 121 credit. Doesn’t affect anyone else the way the “flex new hire rates” can affect someone else still in a lower pay step. That being said, someone asked a question on the Envoy Recruiting FB page about “121 experience credit” and they flat out said that it also included reducing flow as well. That is definitely NOT in any of the changes so pulling stuff out of thin air there. |

they just announced experience credit publicly so it looks like they’re cutting the check.

Understood. So may be best to pay for the ATP instead of being locked for an extended period. Have the TT and PIC for major/legacies just not the recency (and ATP). Thanks for the info!

How long before a new hire is eligible for insurance benefits?

You need to read my previous response to your and Dera’s post. The 121 experience credit isn’t going to be a huge check. Not going to affect anyone except those individually that actually come in with 121 time. Probably about what they spent on DEC bonuses earlier.

For an ex-military guy without an ATP, looking to get back in the cockpit via Envoy using their ATP program, are there any contracts, seat locks or the like after training completed (repay bonuses etc)? Haven’t seen anything on commitments.

Well, you're eligible immediately, but they kick in one month from DOH.
Any info you can provide on employee premiums? I have 3 dependents that I’m currently paying $1100/month- hoping Envoy is better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk EDIT: That's 200-300 per pay period. Still nowhere near as bad. |
