The good thing about Envoy 's flow is it will not prevent you from being hired off the street by American. It's a good backup plan. But I would guarantee 6 years or more waiting for the flow. Currently flowing 16 year guys that will start to drop and the company just put out a letter promising a new hire 2.5 year upgrade and 6 year flow. Those metrics are mathematically possible but..... I think that's best case scenario. With a military background you will most likely get hired off the street before that. But there are no guarantees in life and some insurance doesn't hurt. Envoy only has 2 bases left so unless the company folds I don't see Chicago going away. Reserve is currently about 3 years we carry near 40% on reserve due to miss management and reserve rules. That said currently skywest has a 3.5 year upgrade and a Jr Chicago base. And reserve is months not years.

Thank you everyone for the good advice. Wish I could go directly to the majors but the phone hasn't rang. A bunch of my military buddies are reporting the same thing. Delta seems to be the only one doing hiring in earnest...
In the mean while I would rather fly then sit reserve for years.
Thanks again!

If flow is important to you Envoy is the place.

No not joking. He was interested in the best flow. Currently the best flow is Envoy at 16 years. I'm not aware of any other regional with a better flow using actual numbers today (not some wild prediction of the future that may never come true).

I forget the actual number, but I think a total of 40 airplanes is the only thing that ultimately is guaranteed for envoy.

Those are forward looking comments with no true basis in fact. The only thing that is known for sure today is that envoy will shrink to approximately 1/2 the size they are today.

The rest of your statement is also forward looking and a guess. We are currently slated to operate at least 68 145's until 2022. EXJ contract for our 145's is temporary. So is TSA's. Also envoy is the only AAG wholly owned that has the pilots to fly additional airplanes. This is evident in the facts that, we are delaying the CRJ transfer to PSA, covering for MESA flying through the summer, and operate as a spare for EXJ in DFW.

The extension has us flying the CRJs well into 2017. This is the second time the transfer schedule has been delayed. It probably won't be the last. PSA is now only hiring street captains. There aren't enough FOs to staff their delivery schedule.

FirstClass is a probationary pilot at PSA, brand new to the airlines, and is a very poor man's version of eaglefly. He thinks it's cute to troll thread after thread making sarcastic remarks.
His wittle feelings got hurt a few months ago after a series of PSA threads were started warning about things such as their 25+ year wait to interview, possible Captain displacements down the road, etc. Since then he has put Envoy in his child-like crosshairs and now competes with his hero eaglefly to see who can troll more Envoy threads in a single day. Don't pay him any attention. It's what he wants and it's what keeps feeding him.
