It doesn't sound like it's a good time to sign up to be an Envoy new-hire turtle. In fact, if one there has apps out and is thinking of leaving, I think they'd be stupid to pass up a decent gig in favor of fuzzy math and smoke and mirrors.
And you're wrong again...,

All your scenario does is move them to AA even faster if we're smaller.

Faster ?

Yesterday, the day before that and the day before that, you claimed the flow was AA retirement driven ?

What does that have to do Envoy's size ?

Changing your stories and fables as often as the weather doesn't give them any more credibility, you know.

1. Proven flow and low upgrade time would (arguably) help Envoy attract new hires.

2. Shrinking Envoy by flowing pilots off the top and upgrading pilots in the middle achieves both those things.

3. Is that the "jumpstart" they need to attract newhires once they've shrunk down (as in, not any time soon)?

I dunno.

We'll just flow and continue to shrink as we have been doing.

Enjoy getting more and more planes at PSA waiting 20 years for your "interview" while being pay capped. Absolutely no reason for them to substantially increase your flow any time soon. They can't afford it with your growth, they have all they cheap labor they need with the majority being on 1-2yr pay right now, and you get plenty suckered in with quick upgrades already. AA street hiring wholly owned is slim to none, UAL recruiters don't like PSA, and for DAL.. better get a PhD, a moon landing and/or join the military for a shot there.. Looks like you will have a LONG time to enjoy how awesome PSA is.

Good luck!

Exactly, the flow rate is the same regardless of our size.

A 6 year flow is if we have X number of pilots. If we shrink to 2/3rdX then a new hire flows sooner.

Unfortunately for you the plan is to no longer shrink anywhere near as small as their worst case scenario.

Unfortunate for me ? LOL !

New-hires don't flow sooner unless there is someone to replace them and the size of Envoy won't change that. I hear you lost 40 pilots to others last month, mostly F/O's.

When Envoy starts and MAINTAINS 50/montth in the new-hire dept., then I'll think a newbie has a chance. Until then, I think they're better off at expanding airlines with shorter flows to AA like Piedmont.

We didn't lose anywhere near that amount.

The snarling anger and jealousy that raves through all your posts makes it obvious you are not who you say are. Glaringly, you are just another incognito ex-Eagle hater. The amount of time and effort you spend into blasting away at this place makes me sad for your life.

Envoy would probably get more pilots if the 1500 hour rule changed. There's talk about that being changed in the midst of the FAA Reauthorization Bill this year. There's also strong opposition to that being changed. However, with Envoy's flow through agreement and maybe also a commitment to keep more than 2 bases open, they could attract more pilots. They already have partnerships with many flight academies and universities across the country.

Our flow doesn't require a single new hire ever be hired. Perhaps you should read it. Which means it's a six year flow from street to AA. If we did shrink, the time to flow would only be shorter.
Basic math tough for you?
