And then the day will come when flow up is no longer possible or desired by the airline. This is the day they need to stop or severely limit the flow because they can't afford to let pilots leave the regional destroying their feed. And they will take it away at the snap of their fingers all while you have given major concessions to have it.

First, ask yourself why the company would want 12/4 to begin with? What are they up to? With all the things they could potentially ask for, why that? What's likely to be happening in the regional airlines in the next year?

I'm not advocating for or against accepting it just asking what it would take for most, or if most consider it a non-starter.

All this speculation is amusing, but it seems there is no hard information here. And about as relevant as farting in the wind.
The bottom line is we are banking on not being "comaired" by the sole hope that the pilot shortage turns out to be as bad as is speculated, and that there are no other major changes to the landscape.
From terrorist action to a shutdown, or merger, or new age 75 or 95 if you can pass a physical,, or whatever.
This 'pilot shortage' has been diminished so many times over the last 25 years I have been in this industry that I am skeptical.

"Our reserve system is still better than their best line, especially at our pay rates. Go ask some of the new guys on reserve, they'll tell you the very worst day here is better than the very best day they ever had at Eagle. "
You lost me there. Not going to debate anymore.
I've done a 3 day trip this month so far. That's it. Show at 745 pm off duty at 6:30 am on day 3. Had the whole 4th of July week off at home. I haven't had that holiday off in years, let alone a weekend. Buddy of mine just came off 20 days without being used in a row as a regular reserve. Most reserves are flying 20-30 hours a month. A handful don't get called at all (lucky!).
If you want even better QOL, short call living in domicile with an overnight RAP is even better. I went 26 days in a row without flying, and only flew after that because I requested a trip bought. The next 3 weeks I flew 3 days on short call. You couldn't pull that off at my commuter even if you bid ready reserve sitting at the airport for 8 hours a day.

Not sure about the details of how it would all work but they are positive that we'll never hit the pay caps before flowing! So to put their money where their mouth is give us snap backs if the music stops again... Essentially we're already taking all the risk as the flow costs them nothing since they need pilots anyway!
ever heard the old saying that it's all about how it's presented....

Mason,
A little confused from reading your posts. Seems like stuff has possibly gone back and forth a bit this week. Went from expecting news last week nothing, with no deal, to some sort of internal deal? Could you sum it up as to what's going on now? Some news next week, perhaps?

Absolutely not. Flow down is a privilege reserved for the day Envoy pilots are award American seniority number on date of hire. Times have changed. Flow up benefits the airline more than it benefits the pilot, it keeps you in line, it keeps you controlled, it keeps you from leaving. They want to give you flow up, they need to give you flow.
You can keep Bzzzt though.

And then the day will come when flow up is no longer possible or desired by the airline. By then Envoy will have been absorbed into AA already. It's how they plan to staff E-jets. Nobody will go to RAH, Mesa, Compass or elsewhere when they can get their seniority number and place on the list upon date of hire to fly the E175. Before that happens, Envoy will become the single point of entry to AA. That bypases any negotiations with the APA for seniority numbers; since your DOH at envoy will be your place on the AA list once you move over. This won't happen until PDT and PSA are eventually consolidated. You guys have a few years left to torture Pagey.
