Are you really that stupid...?

There is value in mainline having wholly owned, so they will never get rid of their wholly owned. If all three of us would of said no then they would of had to change their strategy. They never would put all their flying at contract airlines, this would be disastrous to them just look at United. Again we the pilots are our own worst enemies. Eagle/envoy had this vision and set the tone, but unfortunately pdt and psa have no clue.
This was our chance to change the industry with so many things in our favor and we might never have this kind of leverage Agin and a few were as greedy as the cooperate giants to throw this opportunity away.

Thank you PSA and PDT for degrading our profession and proving to management that we are just stupid pilots not deserving to be called professional.

Because that's what you are essentially doing. Management dangles those big shiny airplanes in front of you, and says without money out of your paycheck, we can't refleet. It's not the pilots job to buy the planes or get the new hires. Especially at a time of record profits.

This never progressed to far because they realized the value. It was another scare tactic to get concessions out of the labor groups. Wake up and see the big picture.

You are assigning power to PSA that PSA simply doesn't have, then criticize PSA for that power. Unlike a contract carrier, a wholly owned is dependent on its parent company to provide them aircraft. If you want to grow you have to play their game. Envoy tried to change to rules of the game and are being punished for it. PSA is 1/4 the size of Envoy, if they can do it to Envoy, what makes you so confident that they wouldn't do it to PSA?

I recall back in 2011 AMR publicly stating their intentions to sell off eagle. Once AMR went into bankruptcy, it was the beginning of the end for Eagle.

They wouldn't be doing anything to envoy if psa and pdt voted no also. They would have to come up with a new strategy.

Yeah, its called send the planes to Mesa, Compass, Republic, Skywest, etc. There seem to be two camps of anti-PSA. The Envoy pilots who are complaining that PSA didn't jump off the bridge with them so they would have someone to talk to on the way down. And the contract carrier pilots who are complaining that PSA didn't jump off the the bridge with Envoy so they could get in on the large RJ order themselves.

Why did AA go to eagle with a deal if they knew that pdt would accept a deal right away?? In order for the whole profession to have benefited pdt and psa pilots should have said no. What's probably going to happen now is they will merge the two companies and everyone will get fed a giant S sandwich. Concessionary contract with a bigger seniority list which is what AMR wanted to begin with. At least you get to flow in 5 years right? Maybe.

Again this explains why you all just don't get the big picture and why you all threw away the industry. There is value in wholly owned, they would never place all their flying with contact carriers. So your scenario holds no ground. Keep convincing yourself why you voted yes and sold your career for a few shiny jets.
